Incomplete[edit]

This article only covers 1/3 of the treaty, which also involved land in Illinois and southern Michigan. Because of conflicting claims, the commissioners found it necessary to sign three different treaties with three different Potawatomi bands, but this article is only aware of one of the three. The error no doubt stems from lack of research, since there are no reliable secondary sources cited as of yet. If someone gets around to doing some research for this article, a good brief overview is in The Potawatomis: Keepers of the Fire by R. David Edmunds. Thanks for the note, you are right its not finished. I started this as part of series on early Indiana history, and only had sources for the Indiana portions of the treaty. I will take a look at your suggested source! By the by, I've also became aware the the upper portion of the map (which I made years ago) is not completely accurate, just never got around to fixing it. —Charles Edward (Talk | Contribs) 17:25, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
