Vegetarian

Meet the Barkers portrayed Travis as a vegetarian which is why I had put that in the Trivia section. Someone removed it stating that he isn't. I don't think the fact that he owns a fish restaurant necessarily negates the fact that he is a vegetarian. Anyone have proof one way or the other? Downstream 18:11, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Travis Barker is in fact a vegitarian. I met him at Warped Tour 05 and invited him to the restaurant where I work, because he mentioned he'd be in Florida for the day, to which he added "I'm a vegitarian". Feel free to add that back. --KM

I don't know if that can be proved :) but I added it back because someone removed the entire Trivia section so I think it was vandalism. Downstream 15:38, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Travis recently broke his arm. In order to strengthen his bones, his doctor recommended eating meat again. So, for the first time in 16 years, Barker did eat meat -- a chicken taco from the restaurant he owns.

sounds like the other bands aren't punk bands

Does anyone else think that the sentence "He also played for Box Car Racer, The Transplants, The Aquabats (as Baron Von Tito), The Vandals, the Suicide Machines and a punk band, Snot." makes it sound like the bands other than Snot aren't punk bands? At least those I've heard of (most of them) could at least be considered some degree of punk, if not a straight up punk band. Of course if I could come up with a better way to phrase it I probably would have done that already, but I just think it sounds a little funny.--CallmeNiel 03:27, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Looks like someone changed it so it's kind of a moot point but I think the reason that distinction was made on the band Snot is because there s another band called Snot that is not punk. I read it somewhere where it said something about the band, Snot, not to be confused with the other band, Snot, blah blah blah.. Can't remember where I read it now though. Downstream 19:23, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Oh wait, I found it: Bio at artistopia.com. It says, "...a punk band called Snot (not to be confused with the alternative metal band)." Looks like the user that changed it might have confused it with the alternative metal band. I guess the the internal link to Snot (band) should be removed altogether. I'll do some more research first though. Downstream 19:23, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Was he in Snot?

There is no mention of him on the snot page and there is no mention of him on the Snot album inlay (given they only did one). There is no mention of him even on the Snot tribute album, which may have explained it if it was an error

Different Snot.--Atticus2020 07:50, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Fans section

I'm not sure who wrote about the fans being upset about him changing his image and what-not but I'd like to either get the reference to that press release mention in here or remove it. I found this article where Travis says, "I probably listen to more hip-hop and drum'n'bass than I do punk rock music, and same with Tim and Rob..." MTV Transplants article but that was back in 2002 and he said he listens to hip-hop more, not that he likes it more. Just like to get it right if we're going to put words in someone's mouth... Family section

Someone got rid of the info I added about his previous marriage to Melissa Kennedy and the tattoo he has on his neck of her name. Is there some reason for that? If not, I'm going to add it back. Downstream 15:50, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah WTF? Wheres the info about his first wife? And someone at the top of the page said something about his brother working for him--I'm pretty sure he's referring to Chris ("Little Chris") , his assistant. If I'm not mistaken his name is Chris Baker, not Barker, and the brother thing is a rumor. --Atticus2020 07:50, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Ancestry

Why does he have black eye-brows, brown eyes and black hair? Is he Asian/latin? Who were his parents? It would be nice if we mentioned that... --Shandristhe azylean 15:15, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Do some research if you're interested and add it! :) Downstream 01:07, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

It would be nice to have something about his family like his brother who I think works for him. Yeah i would like to know a little about his family.

Bob Marley?!

The part 'After Blink' states that he is now part of Plus44, and was recruited by former Blink-182 bassist Bob Marley. This sounds quite strange to me, as I thought Bob Marley was the famous reggae singer (who died in 1981). I've corrected it with the right name. Black Hole 11:39, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Line of I miss you "I will kill you"?

The part 'Family' states that he dedicated one of the lines of the song 'I miss you' to his wife. This is unlikely, as the line 'I will kill you' is nowhere to be found in that song. Has anyone got information about this? Black Hole 11:40, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

I don't remember a line that says "I will kill you" in that song (doesn't mean it's not there!) but the user who posted that didn't cite their sources so I removed it. Downstream 16:24, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

travis barker

travis barker is the coolest person in the band called blink-182!!!!!! he totally rocks my world!! he is the bestest person in the world better than the society and people like you reading this so beware i will kill you if you turn travis barker down!!!!!!!!

This is an encyclopedia--not a fanpage. and sign you entries. --Atticus2020 07:50, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Virtusoity

I have removed the line about his virtusoity on the drums. I have seen other legendary drummer's wikipedia entries, and they do not emphazise on virtusoity. E.g. Ginger Baker, Charlie Watts, Tre Cool, Keith Moon, Carter Beauford. ****

Article name

I just wanted to say that there are other Travis BArkers out there. One of them is a War Veteran and would like to change the title of this article to Travis Landon Barker as not to confuse the two people. Travis A. Barker thanks you.

I believe the standard for Wikipedia is first come, first served. Therefore any other Travis Barkers would need to create a new page with a unique name such as "Travis A. Barker" in the case of your example. This existing article should not change. Downstream 17:52, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

That simply isn't true. Wikipedia is designed to inform, not to claim.

The 'trivia' piece about Tattoos

It states 'it could be as many as 12' with regards to how many tattoos. Now I don't have a clue about these things but judging from the photo with the article this dude has more than 12 tattoos? Anybody know anything more? ny156uk 21:43, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

The bulk of his tattoos act as a complex connect-the-dots which spell out "douchebag" when drawn correctly.

Equipments and cymbals

do we need a section about his drumset? or cymbals? someone hav added in but i just delete it bcos i think its useless, and he make an article about travis's equipment, much of them are copies from this article Travis Barker's Equipment Noobskater 13:49, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
