History[edit]

So there really isn't much in this page besides the basic types of tostadas and a brief description of what they are. I think that this article needs a short section about the history of tostadas. I learned about the history of tostadas through a friends great grandmother which i found very interesting. I am going to add how they originated by the Indians mostly the Mayas, Aztec and Incas. I will also add how they use to make different colored tostadas. Do you guys have any suggestions or anything else i should add?KiKis21 (talk) 19:57, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merge "tortilla chip" article?[edit]

Tostadas are tortilla chips, so I don't understand why these are two separate articles. Have a section on chips and a section on the mexican dish of the same name maybe? But like, in most south american places, tostada literally refers to tortilla chips. Meskarune (talk) 20:24, 24 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
