Fair use rationale for Image:MC Hammer - Too Legit To Quit.jpg[edit]

Image:MC Hammer - Too Legit To Quit.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:26, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move request[edit]

The result of the move request was: Move Too Legit to Quit (song) to 2 Legit 2 Quit. Jafeluv (talk) 10:07, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

– Work titles are not commonly normalised, see e.g. "U Can't Touch This" by the same artist, "U Remind Me", "Nothing Compares 2 U" or "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang", and I don't consider it a good idea, because it falsifies the artist's chosen title. • Oppose the album and song should switch positions -- 70.24.250.103 (talk) 00:34, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, but I agree with 70.24 that the song should be primary. Powers T 22:58, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • I'm not opposed to such a change, as long as the title of both articles is "2 Legit 2 Quit". --The Evil IP address (talk) 17:15, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I don't find any listings of the album as 2 Legit 2 Quit. Only the song uses the numerical stylization. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 16:12, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support removing parenthetical disambiguation from both, keeping the album here, and moving the song to the plain 2 Legit 2 Quit as per sources. See [1] Red Slash 15:31, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • Even better idea, and indeed the album seems to use the natural English spelling. --The Evil IP address (talk) 11:48, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per Red Slash. Very good solution, per WP:NATURAL and WP:TWODABS. Hatnotes will be sufficient. --BDD (talk) 18:33, 8 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose pending more information from sources on the title. "Too Legit to Quit" seems common. Red Slash has provided one source, but I would like to see more, and would like to see them on the reference list on the article. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 01:05, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Red Slash's suggestion. I've found some sources that use "Too Legit..." for the album and "2 Legit..." for the song:[2][3][4] It's apparently always been pretty commong; this book, p. 19, includes a 1991 ad for the album "Too Legit to Quit", which says it features the song "2 Legit 2 Quit".--Cúchullain t/c 15:13, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Closing comment - consensus seems clear to keep the album where it is, and move the song to 2 Legit 2 Quit with appropriate TWODABS, which removes unnecessary parenthetical disambiguation. Requesting G6 to make room for the move. Tiggerjay (talk) 06:11, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
