No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 22:38, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tomislav BrkicTomislav Brkić – There was no consensus regarding the use of diacritics, so this article should use the diacritics until a consensus is reached. See also: Talk:Mate Pavić.

PL Alvarez Talk, 07:58, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strong Oppose - As per the ATP and ITF tennis organizations, and Davis Cup, the player's English sourced name is Tomislav Brkic. See also Talk:Marek Zidlicky and Talk:Galina Fokina. Fyunck(click) (talk) 08:25, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. The Associated Press gives this name without a diacritic. Kauffner (talk) 11:33, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Do you actually expect people to comment on all 9 move requests? Why not create it as a multi-move so that discussion doesn't get split or become redundant? Powers T 13:36, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
According to wiki we are supposed to look at these on a case by case basis. He's just trying to usurp all pages listed without diacritics. Even this opening rfm is weird... if there is no consensus the page should remain as it always has. Fyunck(click) (talk) 18:19, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose all nine of these RMs due to the flawed nomination. Basically saying 'there is no consensus on this issue, so we should go with my personal preference' is not a valid rationale. Jenks24 (talk) 18:53, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose There is no discussion on diacritics on this talk page, so nominator's rationale is superfluous, so this move is missing a rationale. 65.94.77.11 (talk) 06:09, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose: The proposed page move is contrary to the established Wiki-policies of WP:UE, WP:COMMONNAME, and WP:RS. Dolovis (talk) 03:32, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Accurate and full name first in BLP lede[edit]

Putting this on a couple of Talk pages. WP:Manual_of_Style/Biographies#First_mention states:

"While the article title should generally be the name by which the subject is most commonly known, the subject's full name should be given in the lead paragraph, if known."

None of the examples given in the guideline support the way this article first line is formatted. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:55, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't the subject's full name given in the lead paragraph? Fyunck(click) (talk) 20:12, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
