Please note[edit]

This list has been removed from Aboriginal history of Western Australia - and certain elements of this list will be removed from this list and retained in the original article. In effect in process - thanks for your co-operation SatuSuro 02:12, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Assertions[edit]

Each line/entry has an assertion, many that are not backed up by a citation - over time every uncited assertion needs to be removed due to the nature of the argument that comes from a timeline like this.

The local detail in some entries would be more suitable elsewhere - and have little if any relevance to an understanding of the broader scale of aboriginal history of western australia - perhaps there is a need for some of the grouping articles (such as nyungar) to absorb otherwise over-detailed information from this list. Encounters between explorers and aboriginals - if adequately explained beyond jones met the local aborignals possibly belong in a separate article again - Explorer-aboriginal relations in Western Ausralia rather than here SatuSuro 06:53, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SatuSuro, the major source of many of these items comes from a document maintained within the Department for Family and Community Relations as it was known in the early 1980s, within the now defunct Community Work Support Service (CWSS). The CWSS did not see the necessity to maintain full bibliographic details, which is why many items are unreferenced. It was maintained in Word Perfect on floppy disks that are now useless. It would be good for someone to see if they could access the archive as I am sure it must be possible to find it somewhere in the bowels of WA Government. John D. Merger Possibility[edit]

It is likely this article duplicates information in the main article. A merger possibility has therefore been formed.--Dale S. Satre 22:55, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Needs Regular Updating[edit]

The value of this article is determined by the fact that it needs regular updating. It would be good if there were Aboriginal users of Wikipedia who could help with this task. John D. Croft (talk) 09:28, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
