'Drunken Rampage?'[edit]

somebody needs to check that passage as it sounds like some 13 year old made it up.

It isn't true. I'm guessing some 13-year-old Brody fan DID make it up. 72.186.143.34 14:54, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

what happened to Tim 2011[edit]

Tim looks like he has aged 20 years in the last 4... Does anyone know what happened to him? I'd guess he isn't sick because he has gained a bunch of weight, where sick people usually lose it... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.163.134.220 (talk) 01:11, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Picture[edit]

We need a photo of Tim, with an appropriate license. The old one had an unknown license. Alt-F4 10:29, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please!, check and add the appropriate license before adding anything, as images without or inappropriate licenses will get automatically removed. Alt-F4 09:46, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

'hardworking mother'[edit]

Does this count as POV? It doesn't seem very encyclopedic anyway. Tkos 22:34, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, it should be removed or replaced. Anyone got relevant info about his parents (and/or brothers) like names, occupation, etc or know a way to find out? Alt-F4

Tim's mother was an secretary, hardworking indeed she kept the family "floating" while his father drank his days away, according to Lars Fredriksen in a interview for the swedish music magazine Close-Up (Issue 15, 1995). For you non swedish people, here's a quick/dirty translation:

Matt's dad was a cop. Tim's an alcoholic, who would lie passed out at the yard when Tim went to school in the morning. The family where kept floating by his mom who worked as an secretary for $1.75/hour.

Vocals[edit]

Are you sure that he sings like that on purpose? if you listen to his voice in live freaky die freaky that's basically how he talks. he could be faking that too, but it sounds absolutely nothing like cockney.

Moved to rumors, since i couldn't find any source or proof for any of the claims. Alt-F4 11:03, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I was pretty sure his voice is that way because of past serious drug and alcohol problems. Add that to rumors too?

Yea, it was listed there before, seems like someone removed it though. Alt-F4

I've met him before. I didn't notice that his speech was slurred.

I knew him before his drug abusing days and his speech definitely was a bit slurred back then too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.203.6.177 (talk) 15:24, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wait, I thought he just had Downs Syndrome —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.177.116.134 (talk) 17:16, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ok, so i grew up working at gilman in the 80's, and hanging out with tim and matt and the whole gilman family alot. and tim always talked like that, its just tim. so stop making aSSumptions and know that this info is the real deal.

Vandalism[edit]

There is a huge amount of vandalism about someone who wrote a bunch of episodes for LOST. Can anyone fix it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alanlemagne (talkcontribs) 21:47, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Where/When was he born?[edit]

Article says both overseas and CA. For now I'm removing overseas, as it seems less likely than CA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Waltbucher (talkcontribs) 20:27, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It says R. Armstrong, but his name is Lockwood so how could that one be correct. Armstrong and Tim are very popular names so it could be a coincidence.

I still don't see how 65 is a reliable source as to the fact that R. is not Tim Armstrong's middle initial. This should be changed instantly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.85.43.182 (talk) 00:50, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it's coincidence, it seems a bit too much of a coincidence, same birthday, one year difference, same town, and also i think i trust California birth records more than the internet, and with the thing about his middle name, maybe Lockwood isn't his real name, and he just gives that out as his middle name, i don't know, but it just seems to be too much of a coincidence. --Chickenguy13 (talk) 11:05, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

His middle name is Ross, not Lockwood. ASCAP notes Ross and an old credit card that showed up on eBay a year ago noted Ross

Brother of Billie Joe Armstrong?[edit]

Is Tim the brother of Green Day's singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong? --Contributions/91.153.78.222 (talk) 21:04, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, they aren't even related.--213.233.90.217 (talk) 13:57, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How do you know, i mean is there any proof, source, anything, just curious? i know he's not his brother, but is he related to him at all? --Chickenguy13 (talk) 11:06, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes,https://twitter.com/bjaofficial Joseph507357 (talk) 01:08, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hahaha, Billie's tweet was clearly a joke! Billie's said many times that they're not related but so many people still persist in believing they are that it's a like a running joke. Green Day fans know it was a joke. This false info should be removed from the page.

A poet's life-Tim Armstrong solo album[edit]

Nothing about it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.27.126.97 (talk) 08:11, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Left handed[edit]

Why does somebody keep adding randomly "He plays guitar left-handed" at the top of the page, i know he's left-handed but adding it randomly at the top seems kinda stupid in my opinion. --Chickenguy13 (talk) 10:49, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Image[edit]

Tim's middle name is Ross.[edit]

Tim's middle name is Ross, not Lockwood. Not sure where the Lockwood started, but the ASCAP database confirms Ross and an old credit card (along with other random items that were taken down on ebay) confirms Ross as well. Mclz (talk) 03:07, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
