Strength Level[edit]

Tiger Shark's top strength seems to fluctuate between 40 tons and 80 tons, according to different sources. If he can only press 40 tons, this seems entirely too weak based on his underwater battles with Namor the Sub-Mariner. However, if he can press 80 tons, he should have been much more of a challenge against Hercules and She-Hulk (who can respectively press over 100 tons and 75 tons) who defeated with with pretty much a single blow. In the latter case, he was not underwater, but he was wearing his water-filled costume. When his costume is ripped open, his strength sharply declines to the point where even Tigra can immobilize him.

Is it possible that his strength and/or durability significantly decrease when he is on land, regardless of his costume? Perhaps he can only press 40 tons while on land, but can press 80 tons while underwater? Chris411 16:24, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

Re: recent edit summaries

Regarding the SHB image, Asgardian is correct. The editorial guidelines for WikiProject Comics express a preference for a full body shot of the character. Since the character has been returned to a human form, there is no need for a more recent image. The cover of Sub-Mariner #5 will suffice and better matches the guidelines.

However, Asgardian is incorrect when he states that there is a limit on how many images can accompany the article. The editorial guidelines do not specify such a limit. The only limitation is that the images must have a fair use justification. If there is a valid reason to illustrate the article with multiple images, there is no rule against doing so. That said, I am hard-pressed to imagine a fair use justification for using the Ed McGuinness image as a secondary picture for the article. --GentlemanGhost 19:59, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
