The reason Gregory was “let go” was due to the fact that the character of Ridge was being recast. Adam Gregory was chosen initially because he looked like Ronn Moss, the original Ridge. When Moss left the show in 2012, the role of Ridge was empty for approximately 15 months while they waited for Thorsten Kaye to finish out his previous contracts. Almost immediately after in December of 2013, Gregory was put on recurring. In May 2015 Fodé debuted as Thomas. He was chosen because he looked more like Kaye.
