Theodosius of Jerusalem (bishop 451-453) also counts[edit]
The first Theodosius of Jerusalem was the anti-Chalcedonian counter-bishop (maybe he also adoptedd the title of patriarch?) in 451-453, in opposition to Juvenal of Jerusalem. Juvenal became Patriarch at Chacedon (451), but was chased out by the Monophysites, and returned with an army in 453, when he had to "share" the title of bishop with Theodosius for a while (see [1]). So, this here is the 9th-century Theodosius of Jerusalem, and Juvenal's adversary (5th century) should maybe be styled Theodosius I of Jerusalem (451-453). Unless the scholarly literature doesn't use these numbers. So, who KNOWS? For now we at least need some disambiguation. Cheers, Arminden (talk) 20:45, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
