Misheard lyrics on "The Voice"

Does anyone know why Grimmie deliberately sang "play with matches" instead of "play with magic" for her "Dark Horse" cover on "The Voice"? Was it some sort of honest mistake, or does she have a problem with the word "magic"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:C445:18C9:218:F3FF:FEF1:1346 (talk) 01:32, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Changes in coach timeline, plus ninth season

As of May 22, 2015, NBC has yet to confirm when the ninth season will air if it does, and have yet to confirm who will be judging the season. Continued addition of information with citing a source for the claims is deemed original, unreliable research; as such, the changes being made to be coaches template go against the commonly accepted format used. livelikemusic my talk page! 23:50, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

Top 48/62 Contestant Table

I have never liked the way we have done the table, because it just looks like a ton of mixed colors. Im suggesting this or something similar to be more appealing to the eye.CCamp2013 (talk) 22:07, 18 October 2015 (UTC)

THIS

INSTEAD OF THIS

You must have forgotten that we've already talked about this here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:The_Voice_(U.S._season_7) -- Just because you don't "like it," doesn't mean it has to be changed. The tables are not broken. Stop trying to fix them. It's been a year. ~ Totaldramaman (talk · contribs) 01:11, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
@Totaldramaman:, I totally respect your opinion and I am not trying to start anything with you. I would rather work with you, than against each other.
I do think the tables are broken thoughbecause the table doesn't allow you to view the information in the easiest way possible. You should be able to look at something like this and in a few moments get what you were looking for. You have to do more work than needed on the current table. I'm just suggesting new ideas so that we can make wikipedia the best it can possibly be. CCamp2013 (talk) 13:17, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
The charts have been like that for years and you are the only one to complain about them. Plus, when you want to propose something, you shouldn't insert it into every page and then talk about it. It should be the reverse.
But still, we already had this conversation last year. The charts are fine. Leave them alone. ~ Totaldramaman (talk · contribs) 23:17, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
@Totaldramaman:, you seriously need to change your attitude. Also, Wikipedia suggests when you want to change something to change it, if it gets undid, that is when decision is to be had.
Im trying to work with you and all you seem to want to do is to antagonize me. Try to be a nicer person, you will be happier in life. thanks. CCamp2013 (talk) 23:58, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

I live in Europe and might be considered as neutral here. In my humble opinion the proposed new table summarizes the information in a slightly more accessible way. Regards, --Toni am See (talk) 15:55, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

@Totaldramaman: ″...you are the only one to complain about them...″ No, he's not the only one. "The charts are fine" Your opinion, but here are some people who think differently. --Toni am See (talk) 11:33, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

The Voice Kids(Spanish show)

If the page is entirely about The voice (U.S.A) and its ten seasons is there any reason why The voice kids section has to be included? I mean, its not even the U.S.A version of the voice kids (if there is any) its the spanish version (La voz kids) So why? why was it included without having nothing to do with the main article? (besides the fact that it is the spanish-kids-only version of The Voice) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drumerwritter (talkcontribs) 21:06, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

@Drumerwritter: I agree with this. CCamp2013 (talk) 02:52, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
@Drumerwritter: according to me, I disagree. because the Spanish-speaking La Voz Kids which aired on Telemundo was filmed in the U.S. soil, and because there has not been any U.S. English-speaking version of The Voice Kids, the Spanish-speaking Hispanic version must be included. Andimuhammadrifki (talk) 19:26, 30 July 2017 (UTC+8)

@Drumerwritter: You are wrong. It's actually the USA version of The Voice Kids because it was filmed and produced in the United States, so it is fully American. And it's not the Spanish-kids-only version of The Voice, because there are other Spanish versions (Mexico, Spain, Chile). So, officially it is the one and only The Voice Kids from USA, produced and fully filmed in USA. I think your problem is that the show is filmed in Spanish, which doesn't mean it's not from USA.

Coaches Gallery

The coaches gallery is hideous and they years are describing when the coach was on is confusing. I proposed two changes, both reverted by Livelikemusic. He is trying to get rid of clutter, but the gallery is clutter itself. It either needs to be trimmed to the current judges or the years need to change to seasons. (Proposed by more than just me BTW). @Livelikemusic: proposed I take to the talk page, which i did with one other thing that still no one has commented on. CCamp2013 (talk) 02:13, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

The way the "Coaches Gallery" is setup is the standard on other pages relating to both The Voice (TV series) and The X Factor (TV series), and no one has yet to complain about i being "confusing" or "cluttering". Making it seasons is too clutter, as it is not an over-view of information. That's what the body paragraphs above and below are for, not a GALLERY. I would love to know how the current format is cluttering and confusing, as it's simple to understand and is clean. livelikemusic talk! 02:17, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
@Livelikemusic: The year has nothing to do with anything. It makes no sense being there because there are two seasons in a year, so you get zero information from that. (clutter). If the current pictures are going to be there, then the year needs to be taken off to reduce clutter. And it needs to be more organized. The current judges need to be together and former judges need to be together. CCamp2013 (talk) 02:26, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
You don't have to ping me, btw. I have this on my Watchlist. And as I said previously, the years are included on other pages and has not been disputed, and even there, it airs two seasons per physical year. So, no clutter is added. And it should NOT be split into "former" and "current". That alone does not reduce clutter, it encourages it. Just because an artist is not on the current physical panel, does not mean they are not a current judge. I feel as if there is nitpicking going on; international pages don't face this kind of trouble, so I'm failing to see why the US one has to be any different whatsoever. livelikemusic talk! 02:37, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Just because something isn't disputed doesn't mean it is necessarily better. Also, When a judge leaves the current year, it doesn't matter that they will return or not, they aren't a current judge. CCamp2013 (talk) 02:41, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Again, seems to be nitpicking the years. Maybe we should just REMOVE them, and put back the table that was in this edit, even though I do not believe the years should be removed, as they are relevant enough to provide an over-view of the paragraph above. livelikemusic talk! 02:47, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Id prefer not to add the table. It is redundant to information that is below. I'd agree to removing the years though. I'm not sure if you would like that without the proposed re-added table though. CCamp2013 (talk) 02:51, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
I wouldn't remove the years if we didn't add the table back in; we should wait for more opinions at this point, to see where this discussion could go. So, I suggest we leave it as is until more discuss. livelikemusic talk! 02:54, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Fair enough. I did want your opinion about the above discussion though. CCamp2013 (talk) 02:58, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
I will look it over tomorrow; I am off to bed now, as it is 11 PM here and I have work at 8 AM. And I'm not well-reserved on tables above, so I do have to take a look over it. livelikemusic talk! 03:04, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

Do we need a consistent style for contestants' names?

I've started a discussion on Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Television on whether we should have a consistent style for naming participants in reality/competition shows. If you have any opinion on this, your input would be welcome. Hzh (talk) 23:30, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

The discussion to make it a consistent is carried into here Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Television/August 2016 updates/Cast and characters section#Names for reality/competition shows participants. As it may affect how the names of the contestants and judges should be used in articles on The Voice, your opinion would be welcome. Hzh (talk) 10:10, 6 February 2017 (UTC)

This text makes no sense.

The article contains this: “Previous voting via iTunes purchases of contestant performances had previously only counted singly during the official voting window and only accredited to the live show in concern.“

What on earth does that last phrase — “and only accredited to the live show in concern” — intend to convey? I would simply delete it but I’m afraid it may actually mean something so I’d like to see if there is someone out there who can figure out what it is supposed to say and make it say it.

Just some minor edits

I don't edit enough to be auto-confirmed ;v;

Under Series overview, the first sentence should have spaces between commas. Or as the template states I should say:

Please change: "Blake Shelton has won 6 times, Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson have each won 3 times. Usher,Pharrell Williams,Christina Aguilera,Alicia Keys and John Legend each have 1 win."

to: "Blake Shelton has won 6 times, Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson have each won 3 times. Usher, Pharrell Williams, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, and John Legend each have 1 win."

Another thing of note, under Under Video game, seeing as the game has (past tense) been released,

"The Voice: I Want You is a video game based on the television show releasing on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and Wii U on October 21, 2014 published by Activision. The game includes a microphone and it has songs from the show including songs performed by the coaches."

should be changed into: "The Voice: I Want You is a video game based on the television show, released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and Wii U on October 21, 2014, published by Activision. The game includes a microphone and it has songs from the show including songs performed by the coaches."

Or at least, something of that nature.

Comment: I wouldn't edit this, too, for the meantime. Considering that there were still 3 artists when the winner was called, both Toneisha and Thunderstorm would be runners-up. While The Voice has tweeted that Toneisha finished 2nd, I would wait for another tweet that Thunderstorm finished 3rd. It is still a bit unclear at the moment. HiwilmsTalk 17:53, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

Series overview

To have the finalists names in just one line, I think there are two options:

  • 1. Remove the Coaches chairs' order and make it a separte table.
  • 2. Extend the whole table as it is now to "width" of 110%, or "nowrap" everything, and then make the table movable (something that is used in the latest Big Brother seasons around the world).

I don't think this should be necessary, I don't mind two lines per season information, I actually think it looks nice.

A Brighter Orange for Team Alicia

To whom this may concern,

For Team Alicia, the slightly brighter orange that I tried implementing actually matches the colour scheme of the table better than the original orange. The brighter orange matches Miley's bright pink, Kelly's sky blue, and Gwen's light red. It is literally the exact same shade as the original orange (just a bit brighter) so it's clearly not a matter of me not liking the colour orange or saving the colour for somebody else (which is just extremely stupid and not how colours work on Wikipedia). In terms of the argument that Adam's and Blake's colours should not be overpowered, that's already done. Adam's and Blake's colours are SO faded! Literally, every other darker colour (which are a lot of colours) will overpower them, including Shakira's purple, Miley's pink, Gwen's red, Kelly's blue, and John's green. That argument holds no substance. Of course, the colour change would have to also be implemented in the individual season pages (e.g. seasons 11, 12, and 14) but that shouldn't be much of an inconvenience and can easily be done. So that is not a valid argument against Team Alicia's new orange colour. Hence, I really don't see what's wrong with the brighter orange because it better complements Gwen's light red, Miley's pink, and Kelly's bright sky blue, thus making the page more aesthetically pleasing to readers. Like I mentioned before, Adam and Blake's colours are SO faded that literally every other darker colour will overpower them.

In conclusion, the change I am proposing is not too drastic because it's literally still the same shade of orange on the colour hex wheel, just a bit brighter so that it better harmonizes with other team colours. It's not like I'm drastically changing Team Alicia to purple or Team Blake to blue. That would be a nightmare because it would drastically disrupt the preexistent colour scheme, which I admit must be respected. That's precisely why I still want to keep the same shade of orange. Refer to the sample table below to see what the new orange looks like.

Take care and have a great rest of your day/night!

Disney1024 (talk) 23:11, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

Hello. I agree with the shade change. I think the new orange looks very well with the others and don't see any reason why this change shouldn't be accepted. It is not going against the MOS:COLORS and it is very pleasant to see in the table mixed with the other colours. Once again, the argument "other countries have used these scheme of colours for years" is becoming unfair. Afterall, every country has their colours, right? These new shade of orange can even be used in other countries' pages, as a new colour in the future. This franchise is very big, with lots of coaches. If every coach as a specific colour, the more colors the better. Every change that we've been making with the colours is to have a pleasant table. Bright colours should be used too, not only pale ones. I ask to other contributors, such as Catironic9013, Bsems, Doggy54321, and Livelikemusic to consider and show their opinions about this issue. Thank you and have a good day.
MarcioRob24 (talk) 16:20, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
@Disney1024 and MarcioRob24: Can one of you please provide an example of the colour change? After all, brighter could mean plain white. Thanks! D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 01:26, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
@Doggy54321: It's in the table in the section below.
Disney1024 (talk) 02:13, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
@Doggy54321: Well, in this case, you can see in the table of the section bellow which is the brighter orange for Alicia. :) MarcioRob24 (talk) 02:14, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. Per my comments in a subsequent section about JHud's colour, I think Alicia's colour is a little too dark for this table. The rest of the colours are muted/not saturated, and this new colour is very vibrant and it's saturated more than the previous colour, which doesn’t match the muted colours. I would suggest finding a new colour that isn’t exactly like Blake's (so basically not an orange), and make sure that it’s muted. D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 02:25, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
Well, perhaps the previous orange should stay then... MarcioRob24 (talk) 02:29, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
I second that. Disney1024 (talk) 02:31, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
Cool, thanks! Does anyone have any suggestions for a colour? D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 02:35, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
I think you misunderstand. If you think our suggested orange is too bright, then just leave the colour as it is on the table right now (original orange). There's no need to change it I guess. :/ - Disney1024 (talk) 02:42, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

Series Overview Table

Hi everyone, I have looked at the color changes of the table and even with arguments were have had in the past, your idea behind the color changes are okay and I agree. Something that has caught my attention, is the presentation of the table. With Shakira's color now being light pink, and JHyd being a darkish purple color, I think the top starts really light and the bottom looks really dark. I wanted to suggest that maybe Shakira could get Gwen’s color, Shakira’s old dark purple could be given to Gwen and Jennifer could be given her old light pink color so it adds a little light color to the most recent seasons and can be better for color blind people. I don’t know what you guys think and if my explanation was understandable. − Catironic9013

Hello Catironic9013! Thank you for sharing your opinion. Honeslty, I don't disagree with you, the bottom part of the table does look a little dark. However, putting purple for Gwen would provide another dark colour to the table in my opinion. I don't know if you have done it already, but look at the discussion above to see why we came to an agreement for a darkish light purple for JHud. @Doggy54321: and @Disney1024: we have a new contributor to the page, let's try to talk all with each other. − MarcioRob24 (Talk!! :D) 15:43, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

I switched Shakira and JHud's team colours and made the purple less dark (i.e. mauve). There's too much pink on the table and hardly any purple. Since JHud does have a finalist (Kennedy Holmes in Season 15) and Shakira never had any finalists so far, I decided to make the switch. Apparently, from what I've heard, JHud's original team colour for the table years ago was lavender but then someone switched it to light pink for some reason. Mauve is a lavender-like light purple.

Let me know what you guys think about my suggested revision. I strongly encourage other recent contributors, such as MarcioRob24, Catironic9013, Bsems, Doggy54321, and Livelikemusic to share their opinions in a peaceful and professional manner. Thank you and have a great rest of your day/night!

Disney1024 (talk) 18:48, 22 December 2020 (UTC)

I'm gonna be completely honest, I don't think Shakira's and JHud's colours should be swapped... I understand why you swapped, and it's true that there is too much pink in the table... I don't know, sorry... Maybe I should look at how the table looks more time. Also, I don't think the height should be that high. Despite that, I love that the air dates were removed and think new Alicia's orange looks good with the other colours. MarcioRob24 (Talk!! :D) 17:35, 26 December 2020 (UTC) Edit: Well, I think it's because mauve is a little dark, and the table will seem like it has many dark colours. MarcioRob24 (Talk!! :D) 17:41, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the feedback! As per your suggestion, I reduced the row height. Let's see what other contributors have to say! :D
Disney1024 (talk) 18:51, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
My rationale for changing Shakira and JHud's colours is pretty simple. Shakira was never in the same season as Christina so if you make her light pink, that's fine. However, JHud is literally in the same season as Miley (whose team colour is dark pink). Having two pink coaches in the same season is a bit confusing and not aesthetically appealing, especially when there are already two other pink coaches on the show (Shakira and Christina). In terms of darkness, JHud's mauve colour is much lighter than the dark purple that Shakira initially had. Like you said, there are already a lot of dark colours on the table so I lightened Shakira's purple significantly before reassigning it to JHud. ;)
Disney1024 (talk) 23:45, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
My opinions: I think there definitely needs to be a change in Gwen/Miley's colours. They look the exact same in B&W, so that’s not exactly colourblind friendly. They also look similar to the eye. Also, J-Hud's colour is a little vibrant for this table. The rest of the colours are muted and less saturated, while J-Hud's is very saturated/vibrant. I suggest a more lavender colour, but not too light that it starts to blend in with the pinks. D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 01:31, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
Maybe   will work. D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 01:33, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
Regarding Miley and Gwen: I think   could replace Miley's dark pink and/or   for Gwen. I was gonna suggest   for Jennifer; however, as you can see in The Voice Kids (British TV series), it can be very misunderstood with the usual   "pink". MarcioRob24 (talk) 02:26, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
I think the change to   is good for Miley. Gwen's colour can match Jessie J's colour in The Voice (Australian TV series) (it's the one we were talking about). For Jennifer, I agree that that colour is too similar to normal pink. The bright side is that no one in the table uses  , so I think   is good for Jennifer. D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 02:33, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
Doggy54321 Keep in mind that Miley's colour can't be too similar to Christina's colour:  . What about this colour for JHud?
Disney1024 (talk) 02:40, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
@Disney1024: looks good! Also - the {{ping}} template should have curly brackets ({{ }}), so that I get notified. Thanks! D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 03:02, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
@Doggy54321: Oh ok, my bad. So can I just change JHud and Shakira's colours in the main page and call it a day/night?
Disney1024 (talk) 03:07, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
@Disney1024: yup, go right ahead! D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 03:27, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
I think we should leave Miley's colour as it currently is on the main page, which is ironic considering my history of wanting colour changes lol. Miley and Gwen are never in the same season anyways so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. If we change Miley's colour, it can't be too similar to Christina's colour.Disney1024 (talk) 03:01, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
Yea, the only problem is that Miley's colour is, like JHud and Alicia, too dark for the table. I think the colour change should be implemented. D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 03:27, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
@Disney1024: and @Doggy54321: Perhaps we should come up with another dark-ish pink for Miley... The previous one I suggested can be misunderstood with Christina's... – MarcioRob24 (talk) 03:57, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24: and @Doggy54321: I honestly don't see a problem with Miley's dark pink. Changing it to anything else may result in a colour that's too similar to Christina's or Gwen's colours. Also, there's nothing wrong with using brighter or darker colours, especially if we're trying to keep team colours visually distinct from each other. If you two really want to change Miley's colour to something else, I would highly suggest creating a new discussion as the issue is separate from what was being discussed in this section regarding JHud's purple colour. Since Miley's current colour has been around for several years, other Wiki collaborators may not be so willing to accept that change. I talk from experience lol. Anyways, thank you so much for all of your help! Take care and have a great rest of your day/night!

@Disney1024: and @Doggy54321: I just changed one letter of Miley's colour code and I guess the problem is solved. See the table here and tell me what you think. :) – MarcioRob24 (talk) 04:35, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
It looks really nice (better than the original lol). – Disney1024 (talk) 04:37, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
@Disney1024: and @Doggy54321: I guess that's it. May I change it in the main table? – MarcioRob24 (talk) 15:10, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

Looks awesome! Now, the one other colour we need to discuss is Gwen. The exact same issue with the exact same colour came up at The Voice (Australian TV series). Long story short, Gwen's colour is too red-toned to be paired with a blue link (it hurts the eyes). MarcioRob24 and I agreed that   is a good alternative to  . It is lighter and pairs well with blue links, but is still dark enough that it doesn’t blend in with the 87 pinks we have. D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 15:34, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

I changed Miley's colour in the main page! Doggy54321, we also agreed that this one:  Gwen Stefani  can be used too, as it isn't so dark nor light. – MarcioRob24 (Talk!! :D) 16:13, 27 December 2020 (UTC). Edit: Now that I'm thinking, Gwen's colour needs more to be changed than Miley's dark pink. If we have a new red for Gwen, perhaps Miley's previous dark pink can stay. Right? – MarcioRob24 (Talk!! :D) 16:24, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

What about this   for Gwen? Disney1024 (talk) 16:26, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

@Disney1024: and @Doggy54321: I FINALLY found out the way to have WHITE HYPERLINKED names. With that darker red Disney1024 came up with, it would look like these:  Jeffery Austin ;  Carter Rubin ;  Gwen Stefani . What do you think? Perhaps, if you want to go forward with this way, Rose Short and Gwen in the Chairs' order should have it in white too, so it doesn't feel misplaced. Agreed. Even if they introduce new coaches, though, we still have to be resilient and find new colours to add to the table. D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 03:27, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
I believe we will discover new colours to use! You should look at La Voz (Mexican TV series). Lots of key colours there, haha. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 03:57, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

Getting Rid of Season Air Dates

As per Wikipedia's guidelines, the table is meant to provide an overview, not an in-depth review of each season. Hence, we should get rid of the season air dates in favour of just saying the general time period of the season (e.g. Fall 2020 for Season 19, Spring 2020 for Season 18, etc.). If readers for some reason wanted the exact season air dates (which I doubt they will), they can easily access the individual season pages that are hyperlinked to the series overview table. Another reason why we should get rid of the season air dates is to have all of the finalists' names on one line, as opposed to on two lines. A lot of people have been saying that this table is too cluttered and getting rid of specific air dates should help fix that problem. :D

Disney1024 (talk) 16:09, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

Per MOS:SEASON, season names are too ambiguous to use, so that’s off the table. We could either use the year (which is far too ambiguous in my opinion), or the specific dates. Or, we could just remove the date column completely and just hyperlink to the specific season page. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 18:03, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
I prefer the latter option (i.e. removing the date column altogether). The numbers in the "season" column are already hyperlinked to the specific season page so that's really not a problem. If a reader needs that specific info for whatever reason, just click the link. :D
Disney1024 (talk) 18:54, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Ok, thanks for your opinion! Let’s wait for others to offer their opinions before implementing any changes. We don’t want to start another edit war. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 19:05, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
I also agree with removing the dates! It isn't really a necessary thing in the Series Overview table. If people want to know it, they can see in each specific season, but also in the Ratings table. MarcioRob24 (talk!) 20:00, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Thanks! I am now going to ping editors who have edited the page recently, Bsems, Leftperson99right89all9898 and Livelikemusic, so that they can contribute to this discussion with their perspectives. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 20:13, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
OMG, I didn't even notice that the specific air dates are actually in the ratings table as well. Then it's definitely redundant to have the same information in both the series overview table and in the ratings table. Disney1024 (talk) 20:31, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Hello! The reason I feel like the dates should stay is because when people want an overview for the season it is important information. People are not going to go to the ratings to look at the dates, they would look at the series overview, I know this by personal experience. It has been this way for many years and other versions including The Voice of Holland and The Voice UK follow this as well. Also, the color scheme is becoming very flawed. I no they did not intentionally to to mess up the colors but once again all of The Voice franchises uses the same color scheme so colors do not overpower one another. And you cannot just change the colors on the series overview but then ignore the personal season associated with that particular season. You have to remember that is this a group page and not a individual page. One cannot keep on editing the page because they want to, its not their page. When I reverted the edits editors, like Livelikemusic and Orangefoundry have thanked me for reverting it. Not trying to cause chaos, but trying to keep this page ignorer as a contributor of it and all voice pages for the past 4 and a half years.Bsems (talk) 09:313, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
But if some people wanted the specific dates, they can easily go to the specific season pages to get them, which are already hyperlinked in the table. And, as was mentioned before, that information also exists on this page in the ratings table. As per Wikipedia's guidelines, the table is meant to provide an overview, not an in-depth review of each season. And the air dates are very specific details that shouldn't be put in a table that's supposed to be a general overview of the season. Your argument about what other pages/versions do is irrelevant to this specific page in question. In the words of Livelikemusic, "just because another page does something does not necessarily mean others should, as well". :D – Disney1024 (talk) 22:51, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
@Bsems:, @Disney1024: and @Doggy54321: Perhaps leaving just the year can be good for all of us? I think just the year works. – MarcioRob24 (Talk!! :D) 15:07, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

@MarcioRob24: I think keeping the dates is better. Years are too ambiguous. Saying season 19 premiered in 2020 is too ambiguous, because there are 366 possibilities of a premiere date and 366 possibilities of an end date. Just like how seasons are also too ambiguous, because there are three months' worth of dates that are possibilities. I really don’t see any harm in keeping the dates. We could even merge the start and end dates into one column, if this is a space issue. D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 15:24, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

@Bsems:, @Disney1024: and @Doggy54321: Merging them works for me. Later today, I can try to add that solution in the table below. – MarcioRob24 (Talk!! :D) 16:09, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

@Bsems:, @Disney1024: and @Doggy54321: I've done it. – MarcioRob24 (Talk!! :D) 18:30, 28 December 2020 (UTC). Edit: Oh okay, I thought the abbreviations could be used. Well then, I still think the dates section should be removed. Sorry if anyone disagrees. – MarcioRob24 (Talk!! :D) 18:34, 28 December 2020 (UTC).
I completely agree. I don't think the dates section is necessary but I'm not going to push for that change if it's an unpopular opinion.

Color Coding for Team Members is confusing

Hey. Just wanted to point out that in the color coding section it looks like Miley won seasons before she even began on the show. The idea behind the color coding is great but right now the chart seems jumbled and is really hard to read. I don't even think the series overview table is necessary. Just do a short table listing each coach, the winners, and the season they won. Someone just went table crazy on this page. No other reality show page is this cluttered.

Season 13: the Playoffs and the Live Shows: Combined or Distinguished Section?

for those who combine the playoffs and the live shows in one section for this season, please never do that again. the playoffs can only be combined with the live shows in one section if they are also live, no matter whether they are aired daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly. but in this season, they are not. see season 6 page as a comparison. Proposing this new table format because I think the current table format is unreadable and it is busy with colors. I do not even read this anymore because it is hard to find out any sort of information within it and is way too distracting. I also think the current colors for how we designate each category should change as well, they are way too bright in my opinion. Chase | talk 23:33, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

@CCamp2013: Hello. It's not a bad ideia. I just wish you used the usual colours: the darker green for the Knockouts; the darker yellow for the battles. Even though I like the "old" format, I guess this one could be implemented, yes. Let's see if someone else shares their opinion. But one question: how would the table be at this stage of the competition, when there are a few artists eliminated, so far. Maybe add a column called "In Competition"? – MarcioRob24 (talk) 20:07, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
Reply to @MarcioRob24: If you look at the edit I made here, I actually used the original colors. I recently updated it today to the new colors. I am fine with whatever, I am just trying to make this sections more useful without having to really dig into the details too much. To me, I would rather scroll all the way down, to see who made it and who did not for a particular section instead of looking the current table.
As for what would happen when people were still in the competition, I figured instead of having the column headers that have not passed, we would just have one column for "In compition" or whatever we wanted to call it. I can make a mock up if you want. Chase | talk 20:19, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
Reply to @MarcioRob24: Also, I should mention that the colors I used are all currently in the article. I just used the lighter shades for "stolen" artists in the pre-final rounds and for the finals rounds used the colors that the pages uses in this section. Why we use two sets of colors for the same category is beyond me and this is something else I believe should change. Chase | talk 01:31, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
Reply to @CCamp2013: Yeah, I don't know why there is/used to be two sets of colours. It's something that has been done since the beginning of the show, in other countries they are also used, and no one ever changed them; until last season, the ninetheen. If you can do it, I would love to see a table for the current season/artists, if that's okay. Maybe do it in the season 20's talk page, instead of here. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 20:36, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

I think this is a problem no matter what colors you use. When you have over a dozen coaches in the history of the show, you are gonna end with similar colors. Right now the table has two shades of green, three shades of blue, three shades of red and two shades of yellow. I'd like to suggest to use instead the name of the contestant and then in smaller font in parentheses the name of the coach. Not A Superhero (talk) 14:47, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
@Not A Superhero: That could happen, but I assure you that it would turn into a bigger disagreement. There are several colour possibilities to add on the table. It has/had two very similar ones, and just one needed to change. That's it. Nothing more is needed. But it seems that one person doesn't agree with it. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 15:44, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

Hello everyone! If you do some diging on my latest constributions you can see, and I'm not proud to say this, that I've recently been involved in an edit war with another user called @D SHCHERBAKOV:. The reasons for this are the disagreement in two matters:

  • 1. As a request of changing one of them, a user pointed out the similarity between the key colour of coaches Gwen (red) Miley (dark-pink). Without further thoughts, I changed Miley's colour to violet colour, because I don't want in any way for colour blind people or people with vision problems to feel marginalized when reading the page. Miley's new violet was then pointed out to be too similar to JHud's light purple. After that, I swapped Shakira's light pink with Miley's violet, since Shakira and JHud's are not close in the table. The user @D SHCHERBAKOV: seemed to disagree with such edit justifying that "And if you care about color blind people, then I want to upset you, color blind people read such pages in black and white, especially for people who see poorly)", "Miley's color has always been the way it is", "When you stop editing all the bullshit, then I'll stop. Leave everything as it was before, other it will be worse. I warned". All these explanations can be seen on his/her/their contributions page.
  • 2. The term "Artist from Team (coach name)" was added by me, so that the page is more formal, and Shakira's team colour was omited because she hasn't had any artist in the finale, yet. The other user also disagreed on this edit because "the color of someone's team is always presented, EVERYWHERE AND ALWAYS!".

With this, I'm pinging you all to please "vote" (not to chose any sides) and share your opinions on these changes. Tell what do you think it's better for the page. That's all I want and I should've explained this problem earlier. I apologize and am sorry for the path things got.

Best regards. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 17:51, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

P.S. @D SHCHERBAKOV: You're invited to ask for more opinions from other editors you know. Use the template {{ping|}} and add their usernames after the bar and before the brakets.

  • Colour issues are not something I care about enough to have an opinion, so I will excuse myself from this discussion. Before I leave, I would like to point out that although some colourblind people see the world in black & white, most colourblind people still see a couple colours, just not the rest of them. Thanks for the ping, though! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 17:50, 18 May 2021 (UTC) (please do not ping on reply)
Thank you for your contribution :) – MarcioRob24 (talk) 17:53, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
  • Instead of doing all those changes, isn't it easier to just slightly lighten Miley's raspberry pink colour to further distinguish it from Gwen's? I don't think it's necessary to change JHud or Shakira's colours. Shakira was changed to light pink in order to avoid having too much pink on the table, since Shakira happens to not have any finalists and Xtina and Miley also have pink team colours. Disney1024 (talk) 17:57, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
@Disney1024: That's a possibility for sure as well. It's just that at the time I couldn't come up with a new pink so that's why I changed it to violet. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 18:02, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24: Would you mind if I played around with the colours so that I can reach a solution that everyone's fine with? Disney1024 (talk) 21:36, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

I think the colors should be left as they were. Distinguishing the colors of Miley and Gwen is very easy, and I don't think color blind people will be offended in any way. Secondly, as you describe the colors in the review of the seasons: Always in the review of the seasons, the COLOR OF EACH TEAM was indicated, regardless of whether it was a PARTICIPANT IN THE FINAL OR NOT. D SHCHERBAKOV (talk) 20:36, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

I would still like to understand what is the real deal of changing Miley's colour... It's just a damn colour for dman's sake! Now, are you a colour blind person? If not, I don't think you're entitled to say how they feel. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 21:20, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Also, what is the point of having a Team colour that hasn't had a finalist in the colour key? Explain yourself with clear English, please. :) – MarcioRob24 (talk) 21:28, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

As far as I am concerned, the changes that were made byMarcioRob24 should be retained, as I see no problem with accepting the colors used to designate the coaches. It is much more important to focus on publishing truthful information, colors and their shades are a matter, in my opinion, personal and related to the person who regularly publishes something on a particular site. Casper18 (talk) 07:42, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

@Casper18: Thank you for your contribution and opinion. :) – MarcioRob24 (talk) 09:04, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

Just try to find the most seeable colors. I'm assuming colorblindness should be accounted for, and thus why I am suggesting you use common, easy to see colors for these people. I'm a normal person who reads wikipedia sometimes, And I don't even care about the colors. Your changes should be kept, unless there's too many colors(I.E three different shades of ____) - Fun81 08:25, 19 May 2021

@Fun81: Thank you for your contribution. :) And your idea is nice; 3 different shades for each colour is something that could be implemented. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 13:45, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

I fell like D_SHCHERBAKOV should be blocked from editing and we should consider colour blind people in terms of colours Superman011:) Btw what is an edit war? Superman011 (talk) 14:50, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

@Superman011: Colour blind people are indeed a matter to consider. Edit war is when 2, or more, editors keep constantly undoing each others edits because they don't agree with it or think it's incorrect, instead of talking it through. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 15:32, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

If the problem is only Miley and Gwen's colours being too similar on the table, I propose lightening Miley's pink to fix that problem. In my opinion, it is unnecessary to change any other team colours. Disney1024 (talk) 21:41, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

@MarcioRob24: What do you think of this new lighter pink that we could use instead for Team Miley? Disney1024 (talk) 22:03, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

@Disney1024: I don't mind it, but I'm sure it can be confused with Christina's pink, and more complaints will come. I have been trying too scrap former's Miley colour out of the color keys in other countries, as it has been very problematic. I have replaced it with this one:  . – MarcioRob24 (talk) 00:57, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
P.S: actually no, I do mind it. It is too similar with Xtina's color now. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 01:05, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24: That colour is a bit too dark. People are bound to complain about it (like how people complained about when we tried to change Alicia's colour). What about this one? It's the same colour as what you suggested but a couple of tints lighter.   Disney1024 (talk) 02:31, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
@Disney1024: I'm fine with it. I'm tired of this discussion already. Let's leave it that way, thanks for your help. If someone comes up with this discussion again, I guess we should just change Miley's shade of colour and that's it. Or, I was thinking of leaving Miley with the faded pink (I was already used to it), and give Shakira a new faded purple like  , or maybe even swap them. Let's leave this as a back up plan. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 11:46, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
No problem! The changes have been implemented and, hopefully, there are no further complaints. :) Disney1024 (talk) 18:41, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

Series overview table and colors

Since there's a discussion about colors just above, I notice that the series overview table indicates by color who the contestant's coach was. Shouldn't this be noted in some way other than color, or is sending a reader from a table back to the series article supposed to suffice? That doesn't seem a very MOS:ACCESS-friendly approach. —C.Fred (talk) 19:01, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

@C.Fred: Hello. Well, something very characteristic of The Voice's pages is this whole key with colours. I guess since the American version as a lot of seasons, the table starts to get confusing and less accessable. I have recently thought of removing the whole coaches section... It is something I created years ago (in 2015 I think), and other countries have used it, but maybe it's time to say goodbye to it. Would the table be more accessable without that section? – MarcioRob24 (talk) 19:15, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24: Are you suggesting stripping the colors entirely, so it's just the contestants listed? —C.Fred (talk) 19:23, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
@C.Fred: No; I'm suggesting removing the Coaches (chairs' order) column, so the table has less colours, like the one under. I cannot think of any way of represeting teams apart from colours. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 19:31, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24: Exactly my point. In what way other than colors are we representing the coaches? —C.Fred (talk) 21:00, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
@C.Fred: I don't know! I cannot think of any way other than colours. Adding the Team name would be too much letters on the table... Perahps symbols? If you have any other idea, I'm all ears. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 21:53, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
@C.Fred:@MarcioRob24: Apart from the colours in the series overview table, there is a "coaches' teams" table on the same page, which indicates in a written manner which contestant had which coach on the show (e.g. Cam Anthony being part of Team Blake). I don't think it's possible to have the series overview table indicate a contestant's coach without using colours AND without making the table too crowded with words. :) Disney1024 (talk) 02:16, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24: I would be down for getting rid of the coaches' column, since it would make the table less cluttered and less overwhelming when it comes to colours. It would also solve our Miley/Gwen problem (see discussion above) since Gwen didn't have any finalists in season 12. But if we do that, I would also suggest getting rid of the Carson Daly column, as I did in the table below. :) Disney1024 (talk) 21:13, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

The resulting edit had ruined the Manual of Style (for example, numbers no more than 10 are spelt as it is in numerical form, instead of lettering, such as first as 1st). Additionally, judging by the edits it was the same person using multiple IP address. I sending this topic was to let you know and how you can do to help maintain the article's integrity and consistency. TVSGuy (talk) 12:09, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

Can you please explain Superman011

Basically, there is an anonymous user that have edited articles, but that was considered as poorly-done edits so revert it: one that even contradicted the WP:MOS and more recently, linked a draft page for the 20th winner Cam Anthony. I was putting this one is to let you know the situation so far. Hope this provide the explanation. TVSGuy (talk) 12:19, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

New Colour for Team Ariana

Dear all, @MarcioRob24:, @Superman011:, @Fun81:, @Bsems:, @Brianis19:, @BeaksGirl1:, @Itsrahmannn:, @Lonniemitchell22:, @Casper18:, @CCamp2013:, and @PotatoFiend:

As I'm sure everyone knows by now, The Voice USA is getting a new coach for season 21 this fall: Ariana Grande. In order to avoid an edit war then, I think we should discuss in advance what colour to assign for Team Ariana. I was thinking of assigning the dark purple that Shakira used to have on this page, before it was changed to light pink:  . Please feel free to share your opinion on this. Thanks in advance for your help! :)

BTW, in case you were wondering, this is what Ariana's dark purple would look like with the other season 21 coaches' colours:

Kelly Clarkson Ariana Grande John Legend Blake Shelton

Disney1024 (talk) 02:58, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

@Disney1024: shall we try to change it to like a violet colour? May I ask why am I involved? Have a nice day :) – Superman011 10:53, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
@Superman011: I believe you're involved becuase you have a recurrent editor in the American The Voice's pages. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 12:43, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

@Disney1024: I do like that colour, and it seems amazing with the other season 21 coaches. However, we must see how it looks in the overview table. I'm already afraid it will be confused with JHud's light purple. I may not have a good relationship with them but, in another page, D SHCHERBAKOV has added this colour   to one table. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 12:43, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

@MarcioRob24: I don't think the two colours would be mistaken since this new dark purple is significantly darker than JHud's light purple. In any case, there's quite a gap between JHud (who last coached in season 15) and Ariana (who's coaching in season 21). As you said, Ariana is fierce and that dark purple matches her personality nicely. Besides, her favourite colour is lavender. :) Disney1024 (talk) 18:39, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

Can we use   please. Superman011

@Superman011: For any specific reason? – MarcioRob24 (talk) 16:55, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

MarcioRob24 they haven’t used that colour yet.

@Superman011: I see your point. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 18:03, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
Ooh, I really like that colour. But my only concern would be that different shades of green have already been used on the table and adding another green might cause some confusion (see the discussion above regarding Miley's, Xtina's, and Shakira's shades of pink). Perhaps we can use this green for the next new coach after Ariana, as that will be far enough from Adam's light green? :) Disney1024 (talk) 18:45, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

Personally, I would choose more gentle and feminine color for Ariana, for example, any of these:  , , , ,  Casper18 (talk) 16:02, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

@Casper18: We should immediately end with that talk of "feminine colours"; that's just stupid and stereotypical. Key colours are supposed to match with the coach's personality, and I wouldn't say gentle is something characteristic of Ariana. She seems fierce, and that's why I say purple is the indicate colour for her. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 16:55, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
After recent events, I would prefer if we stayed away from shades of pink and light red, especially considering that 4/7 female coaches on The Voice USA already have shades of pink or red as their team colours. :) Disney1024 (talk) 18:52, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

@MarcioRob24: Well, you're right, but it's Ariana's personality that I associate just with shades of pink and red. Anyway, it was just a loose suggestion, so it doesn't have to be taken into consideration. Casper18 (talk) 17:50, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

@Casper18: No! Here we take every opinion and suggestion into consideration! :) – MarcioRob24 (talk) 18:03, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

@MarcioRob24: I guess. But after all, it's impossible to please everyone. :) Casper18 (talk) 18:10, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

@Superman011: Procedural reminder that polling is not a substitute for discussion, nor can a vote be exclusive in this manner. Frankly, if a vote is so close that a tiebreaker is needed, that's really an indicator that there's no consensus. —C.Fred (talk) 18:42, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
I agree. This discussion has only been up for about 12 hours. Let us have time to discuss before we vote or decide on anything. Besides, season 21 starts in September. We have plenty of time (a couple of months in fact) to decide a team colour for Ariana. There's no need to rush or start voting yet. :) Disney1024 (talk) 18:52, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

Hi, @MarcioRob24:, @Disney1024:, @Fun81:, @Bsems:, @Brianis19:, @BeaksGirl1:, @Itsrahmannn:, @Lonniemitchell22:, @Casper18:, @CCamp2013:, @Superman011: and @PotatoFiend: I suggest a new color:   that I believe it differs more from the ones already used. What do you think? Phill ad (talk) 20:24, 10 June 2021 (UTC) @Phil ad:

it is similar to Nick colour. And a little similar to Team Pharrell. BeaksGirl1 (talk) 19:18, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
@BeaksGirl1: I see your point, yet option A is similar to Team Adam and Team John ; option B is similar to Gwen's and Miley's; and option C (for my eyes) is just the same as Team Jennifer. See the comparison below:
  • Option A compared to Adam's and John's colors:
  • Option B compared to Gwen's and Miley's colors:
  • Option C compared to Jennifer's color:
  • Option D compared to Nick's and Pharrell's colors:

I know Option D it ain't perfect once it also resembles other coaches' colors, however I still believe it's the less similar one and it should be considered.Phill ad (talk) 13:00, 12 June 2021 (UTC)

I agree that the yellow you proposed is too similar to Nick and Pharrell's colours. This is especially important since Nick was just a coach on the show and having two similar yellows in two consecutive seasons will be confusing for readers. I also agree that the light green and light pink suggested by Superman011 are too similar to other coaches' colours. I frankly want to stay away from any shade of pink because Christina, Shakira, and Miley all already have shades of pink designated to their teams. And light red was already assigned to Gwen. Since JHud has light purple, maybe we can give Ariana a shade of dark purple, which is what Shakira's old team colour used to be before it got changed? There's a 5-season gap between season 15 (JHud's last season) and season 21 (Ariana's first season) so the two different shades of purple wouldn't be too confusing for readers.   Disney1024 (talk) 03:30, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
  • My suggested purple (left) compared to Jennifer's color (right):     Disney1024 (talk) 03:35, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
I still think that purposed dark purple for Ariana should be a bit darker, specially now after you show them side by side. Yes, there is a gap between season 15 and 21, but let's think of all possibilities: what if for season 22 JHud comes back? Or if Ariana and JHud get to be on the same season in the future?... – MarcioRob24 (talk) 13:58, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24: I can darken the purple, thanks for the suggestion! If JHud comes back and/or JHud and Ariana coach on the same season, then we'll cross that bridge once that happens. After all, colours can be changed for legit reasons like that. For now, it's best to worry about one season at a time. :) Disney1024 (talk) 00:19, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
  • New dark purple (left) compared to Jennifer's color (right):

@MarcioRob24: Okay perfect! Here's what it would look like with the other S21 coaches' colours:

Disney1024 (talk) 22:52, 17 June 2021 (UTC)

@Disney1024: @MarcioRob24: Once the proposed green, yellow, pink/red and purple are all too similar with another shade already taken, what if we go to a whole different color like this shade of blue?   I guess the only similar color would be Usher's   which it hasn't been there since Season 6...
Kelly Clarkson Ariana Grande John Legend Blake Shelton
I personally prefer the dark purple that I suggested above. It's distinct enough from JHud's light purple, just like how Christina's, Shakira's, and Miley's pinks are all very different shades. In my opinion, the colour that you proposed is a bit too similar to Usher's. :) Disney1024 (talk) 02:52, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

Information about coaches and host

Hello again, everyone! I just noticed something I wanted to ask about here. In the lead paragraph of this article, there are a total of three references to the upcoming season as the "twenty-first season". I'm emassuming that in the other twenty season articles about the show, there are also at least 3 references to whichever season of The Voice the articles are about. But it did occur to me to wonder if there was a better way to phrase the lead on this article in general and the articles for previous seasons in particular. Is it really necessary to reference the number of seasons of the show more than twice in the opening paragraphs? Also, as we know, it's pretty clear each season that Carson Daly and Blake Shelton have been the only two individualsnwho have been involved in every season of the show. Is it really necessary or effective to list their concurrent milestones each season in two separate sentences? Unless there is a good reason to keep these elements of the lead paragraphs as they are, would it be worthwhile to evaluate the prospect of rewording those parts of this article, and perhaps also their corresponding counterparts from previous seasons to make that information more concise and easier to understand? I'd welcome any input on this. My thanks once again to you all. --Jgstokes (talk) 04:33, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

@MarcioRob24: No worries. Make sure don't let the user get off. And don't bother post messages on his talk page because he do not care (I did left a reply on the previous IP addresses prior to the address being blocked, and I got no reply since). TVSGuy (talk) 01:30, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24: agree with protecting all the voice pages (Superman011)
@MarcioRob24 and Superman011: Prepare to do Page Protection and ANI to the user (and its respective IP address and group) if this persist. I will help you as well if time permits and we target to finish before the next season premiere. TVSGuy (talk) 02:38, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24 and Superman011: I have requested the Page Protection for one week for all articles, except season 20 and 21 which is set one month, and the main article, which has already been protected. TVSGuy (talk) 02:52, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
Update to guys, the Page Protection is not done. The other thing is we could request a range block as an measure. So can anyone do? TVSGuy (talk) 13:42, 9 August 2021 (UTC)

Finale Songs

@Jade Klutts-Wong: Please do not change the finale table again. It has already been confirmed by the show that the finalists will be performing a ballad and a upbeat song, like last season. There are no original songs this season, just like there weren't any in season 20. Episode description for the live finale, part 1: "The Top 5 artists perform a ballad and an up-tempo song in front of coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Ariana Grande and Blake Shelton to compete for the title of 'The Voice.'" Source: http://www.thefutoncritic.com/listings/20211129nbc02/. Thank you for your understanding. Disney1024 (talk) 17:12, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

Adding pink background

@Disney1024: @Brianis19: @Jade Klutts-Wong:, @EdrianJustine:, @Mrgoahead: @Dokastoj: Good evening all. I'm writing you to ask for some opinions. I don't know if you have seen one of my recent edits, which was adding a pink background to Ariana Grande's box on the semifinals' instant save, which would mark the fact that, from that moment, her artists have all been eliminated. I also added to the pink box on the live shows color key "... or coach had no artists left", to avoid any confusion. I already know user @Bsems: doesn't approve this change, but more opinions are needed to be taken into account. Thanks and regards. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 23:17, 11 December 2021 (UTC)

Hello everybody! Yes, I do not think this is necessary as it is obvious Ariana has been eliminated because she won't have anyone in the finale. Also, I think it looks bad and ruins the clean chart overall. I am open to opinions as well, but I don't think it is needed. Thank you! Bsems (talk) 23:33, 11 December 2021 (UTC)

Hi @MarcioRob24: and everyone else who might be reading this! I agree with @Bsems:. It's not necessary to add a pink background to Ariana's box and, frankly, I didn't find it aesthetically pleasing. Like Bsems mentioned above, it ruins the cleanliness of the chart. Besides, it's fairly obvious from the elimination charts and the text above the semi-finals table that Ariana's entire team has been obliterated (or rather eliminated, if you want to be less dramatic lol). Your proposed change doesn't give the article any new info that isn't already conveyed there, so I don't think it is needed. Thank you! Disney1024 (talk) 07:12, 12 December 2021 (UTC)

Series Overview

@Tvashtar2919: The table has lots of great information layed out in an excellent manner. Meanwhile the list above the table is wrong on so many counts. It could be improved, but there are lots of ideas about how it should be set up. Some suggestions are alphabetical order, seating order by first year, alphabetical order within first year of coaching, only on the list if coach made it to the finals, nicknames are allowed sometimes or last name can be used, even though it doesn't even match the name on the table of information. These are arbitrary ideas with marginal relevance to the table below it, making it difficult for a reader to comprehend why it is there. Actually, the list above the table is misleading, redundant and just a bunch of colors with names on it. The entire list should be deleted permanently, including the words above the table. It would be much cleaner and better all the way around. Thank you. Tvashtar2919 (talk) 09:56, 22 December 2021 (UTC)

@Tvashtar2919: Hello. The nickname of Jeniffer Hudson (JHud) and John Legend's surname is on the list because their team names, as presented in the show, are Team JHud and Team Legend. In the meantime, John and Jennifer are on the table, in the coaches' section, because those are presented with how the names appear on the blind auditions LED floor, or on the back of their chairs. Regarding the list, I really think that appearance order and if the coach has had a finalist is the best way to put it, or delete it completely then... I'm going to ping more editors so they give more ideas. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 18:17, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
I agree with @MarcioRob24:: it's either the current format (appearance order + if coach had a finalist), or no legend at all. I prefer keeping the legend. In terms of nicknames, "Team JHud" and "Team Legend" are the official names of Jennifer's and John's teams, respectively. However, their chair still stays their first name in LED lights, which accounts for the inconsistency between the legend and the table in terms of information not matching. I look forward to hearing other opinions on the matter. Disney1024 (talk) 21:29, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

@Disney1024: @Bsems: @Brianis19: @EdrianJustine: @Jgstokes: @Samizami2308:

Hi all, I'd suggest renaming this section to something like 'Winners and Runners-up'. The entire article is a series overview. And when you look at the table of contents, it's not clear where to go to see the winners. Merry Christmas, y'all! Stoccato (talk) 16:20, 25 December 2021 (UTC)

Hi everyone, Bsems here. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I think the Winners and Runners-up is a solid idea, however I believe it is important to acknowledge all the finalists. Making the final is a big deal and just showcasing the first-third placements would minimize the other finalists who made it all the way to the end. I agree with Tvashtar2919 in the sense that the list above the chart can be deleted but I would 100% show all the finalists who made it to the finale on the table. That is my opinion but of course am willing to hear people out and go with the flow. Bsems, talk 4:20, 28 December 2021 (UTC)

Hello all. One thing: does anyone think that the table is too big/tall?? I thought of proposing having three different tables: 1st with seasons 1 through 9, the 2nd with seasons 10 to 19, and the last one from season 20 onwards... I think it would be interesting. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 15:06, 29 December 2021 (UTC)

New table

@Stoccato: Something like this? I didn't remove 3rd places because that's the minimum finalists the series has had (on seasons 3 through 6) - MarcioRob24 (talk) 17:16, 25 December 2021 (UTC)

"The Top 3 finalists are presented in the table below, although most seasons have more than three finalists."

Miley & Gwen Colour

Dear @MarcioRob24: Can we please change Miley or Gwen’s colour because if someone is colour-blind they are going to get confused. Superman011 (talk) 10:19, 23 January 2022 (UTC)

@Superman011: This issue has been treated already months ago. Editors have come up with the conclusion that their current colors are well-differentiated now. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 19:41, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
