production credits[edit]

While Arthur Gardner and Jules V. Levy formed a production company with Arnold Laven, the poster for "The Vampire" lists it "Produced by ARTHUR GARDNER and JULES V. LEVY". --Naaman Brown (talk) 02:01, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

theatrical release[edit]

"The film was released theatrically in San Francisco on a double bill with The Monster That Challenged the World, but it did not receive a theatrical run aside from this."

This has a cited source. I saw this movie in a neighborhood theater and especially remember the scene of a boy my age riding a bicyle through a neighborhood like mine delivering a bat in box to a mad scientist. I think I'll go to the public library and check the mictofilm library of newspaper archives and see if I can find the movie listings. I suspect what is accepted as bad movie lore based on interviews often relies on fallible memory or exaggeration (often the movie was so bad it played only once is not true). -- Naaman Brown (talk) 12:15, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
