Umm...The First Canadian Place building is the current tallest building in Toronto and the Trump Internation Hotel won't even come close to its size!

Not true...Trump will be the tallest skyscraper in Canada when completed, unless surpassed by the proposed Sapphire Tower...check out skyscrapers.com or Emporis.com for current plans.--Aardvark114 15:21, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

Concurred--this will not be the tallest skyscraper in Canada--it will be the tallest residential building in Canada if Sapphire tower doesn't beat it. (Stinson's other skyscraper in Toronto is currently the tallest residential building in Canada). I'm going to change the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pageblank (talkcontribs) 23:15, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

Why is this structure listed as being under construction in the supertall info box when it is NOT in anyway under construction, and in fact the date of groundbreaking has been continually pushed back? 72.61.34.173 18:55, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Does anyone know how to find the actual groundbreaking day? I really thought it would be on Saturday, the 16th of this week! 74.116.213.216 04:47, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

when and if?

this article is confusing as to future of this project. 67.110.221.182 (talk) 20:27, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

spelling correction

I have corrected the spelling of storey to story. Please leave the edit.

2010?

>"The suggested completion date for the hotel portion of the tower is 2010." So did this or didn't this happen? It doesn't LOOK like the building saw any use (or is even currently seeing any use) as of June 2011; TheHYPO (talk) 22:19, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Article protection

An unregistered editor is repeatedly trying to include his opinion in the article about Josh Matlow's statement. This is not what an encyclopedia is for, so I have protected the article from editing by unregistered users for a short period a couple of times now. Ground Zero | t 23:21, 12 December 2015 (UTC)

I have now set changes to this article by unregistered and new users to be reviewed before they are made. So the unregistered used who is trying to use this article as a soapbox for his complaints against Councillor Matlow will find that his/her attempts to edit this article will be prevented. Ground Zero | t 15:40, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

That didn't seem to work, so I have protected the page so that new and unregistered users can't edit it. Ground Zero | t 14:25, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

I've protected it again for the same reason. We can go like this for a long time, or i could just protect it indefinitely. Yawn. Ground Zero | t 18:58, 19 February 2016 (UTC)

I've protected both the article and the talk page. Edits to the article will have to be accepted by a reviewer before they are appear. And your edit won't be accepted because it violates Wikipedia policy. You won't be able to vandalize the talk page either. If you wish to appeal these protections, there are procedures that you can follow, but since there is no basis for such an appeal, I don't expect anything. Ground Zero | t 16:37, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

I've renewed the protection due to a return of the silliness. Ground Zero | t 16:11, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

Renaming

I'm as excited as anyone else about the prospect of having the Trump named purged from our fair city, but it hasn't happened yet. The tower still has the Trump name on it, so that's what people are probably going to continue calling it for awhile. The Adelaide Hotel name is temporary. If you've got any evidence FROM reliable sources that people have started calling it that, i.e., that Adelaide Hotel had become the commonly used name, then we can move the article. But it definitely is not the St. Regis Hotel yet, so it is way too soon to move the article. Ground Zero | t 14:10, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

Should we move it to "Adelaide Hotel Toronto", or wait until it is the St Regis? Ground Zero | t 18:26, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
It's been renamed Adelaide Hotel Toronto and no Trump branding any longer. Even the official website now uses The Adelaide Hotel. Canterbury Tail talk 15:51, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
