"Music of India: Morning and Evening Ragas" by Ali Akbar Khan[edit]

The article states "... it [The Sounds of India by Ravi Shankar] was influenced by Ali Akbar Khan's The Sounds of India ..." I am wondering if this is a mistake, even though there is a citation.

(1) I can't find any information about such an album, titled The Sounds of India, by Ali Akbar Khan. I doubt there is such an album. Can anyone find any evidence that such an album existed, especially before 1957? (2) Is it likely that Ravi Shankar would record and release an album with the same title? (3) Ali Abkar Khan released an much-acclaimed album, Music of India: Morning and Evening Ragas, in 1955 (two years before Ravi Shankar's The Sounds of India) and it's impossible Shankar was unaware of it. Is there a way to check or question the citation in Peter Lavezzoli (24 Apr 2006). The Dawn of Indian Music in the West. ... ?
