Queen Elizabeth not in the line of succession?[edit]

It seems rather odd to say that Queen Elizabeth was not in the line of succession at the time of the book's publication in 1935. In fact, the then Princess Elizabeth was third in the line of succession, following her uncle the Prince of Wales and her father the Duke of York. And by 1935 it was becoming fairly clear that it was unlikely that the Prince of Wales, a 41 year old bachelor, would have any children and that Princess Elizabeth would eventually succeed to the throne.
