Other songs[edit]

This should not be included if they have not been released 'officially'. Demos and unreleased songs are generally not accepted as notable, unless they have shown some kind of notability specifically (ie. through reliable sources). Also, associated acts aren't really necessary, unless they're explained in the article with references, don't stress about this, it isn't all that important (really, only bands with articles here should be linked). I'll be watching the page, so if anyone needs help adding content, contact my talk page. k-i-a-c (hitmeup - the past) 06:25, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page layout[edit]

From recent edits. The page is not at all a history, it's a brief description of their influences, now with the accident which doesn't mix in at all, there is no flow, no actual chronology implying any form of 'History' of the band. Anyway, i'll leave it for now, until we can find some more references, maybe get a hold of some magazines. k-i-a-c (hitmeup - the past) 05:19, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

...go to talk page PLEASE? Well. The article was nothing but a list. The accident was mentioned three times, in three different places. Also, please don't think that a semi-colon is better than the colon I placed there: colons usually indicate cause and effect in a sentence like that (in this one, the colon suggests 'example). And do you mean that it is not a history now? Because if you take the trouble to look at the earlier versions, you'll note, perhaps, that the 'overview' jumped from 2006 to 2008 and ended with a separate section on 2007. But keep it the way you like it, I don't care. I do see from your contributions that you can be a bit patronizing, as you were in the comment by your edit this article, and in this one, and I'll try not to incur your wrath. Peace! i just added some history, Winter.skin (talk) 06:50, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That quote needs a reliable source mate. k-i-a-c (hitmeup - the past) 08:12, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
he says it himself on the dvd. Winter.skin (talk) 08:17, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's the point, you need to 'prove' he said it. Easily done, put a reference behind it to the DVD. Use this maybe? k-i-a-c (hitmeup - the past) 08:24, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
@Drmies. I ran out of room in the summary, sorry. Please don't go making accusations because you were brainy enough to look at the top contribution on my list, i watch these pages every day and every day there is the same edits - they think they know better than the people that maintain these articles, it does get to me, but i have never even gotten into an argument (bar once when some redneck wished death upon me because i am Australian, jerk) on this site and don't wish to start one here, so lets keep this positive, yeah? Imo, a colon would in fact indicate a list of some sort. Eg. The Red Shore is incorporated into a range of metal genres, including: Death Metal, Deathcore, Metalcore. Nevertheless, the sentence is worded badly either way, we need to fix it up. Please, please, please don't remove leads, that was what got me agro, i write a lot of them, and you'd be surprised how often people just come along and tear them apart, they're important to an article - they're the first thing someone sees, a good article is wrecked by a one lined lead imo. About the History, it didn't need to be changed from History, History is correct to put there, my point was that it needs to be expanded to describe the history, not influences, etc. This is a work in progress, don't take things personally, please. We need sources, then we can work together and get this article looking neat. k-i-a-c (hitmeup - the past) 08:12, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Kiac, you may write a lot of leads, and I applaud you for it, but if you'll look at my list you'll see that I also have put a great amount of time and effort into cleaning up. We're on the same team. So I don't 'just come along'--and this editing, I do this for a living, colons and all, professionally (ahem, your sample colon actually is incorrect: what precedes a colon should be an independent clause...so leave it out in a construction like that). Anyway, I'm really not taking this personally, so don't worry, and keep up the good work. Drmies (talk) 16:07, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't refering to you as an editor that 'just comes along', i was talking about the drive-by editors that add their spin to an article, then you never see them aagin. You are different, because you have backed up your edits, which i thank you for. That was a very quickly thought up example, i apologise. The article's sentence however, needs re-phrasing. k-i-a-c (hitmeup - the past) 07:23, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
