Kermit the Frog/Matt Vogel[edit]

Before anyone goes ahead readding the information regarding Matt Vogel providing the voice for and/or controlling Kermit, we would need a source to confirm this, especially given the fact that only Kermit was shown in the show itself, no performer or puppeteer was shown. We also can not simply assume that this is the case (WP:OR). Additionally, this source would be no good to use for this, as it seems the author of the article itself doesn't officially know if Vogel controlled Kermit either. ("...which means it was likely him controlling and voicing Kermit in the Snail.") Magitroopa (talk) 16:26, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I know this isn't really a reliable source, but I've been a Muppet fan all my life, and I can tell when Vogel is doing Kermit. His voice for Kermit is not quite Jim Henson's but also not Steve Whitmire's, it's getting there but it's not. And this was definitely Vogel. - Jasonbres (talk) 20:51, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Vogel confirms it was him in his Twitter reply here [1] 80.193.40.187 (talk) 01:04, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Between the Tweet and Variety, its sufficient to put it as a footnote (which I have done). --Masem (t) 14:37, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Also on the topic of Kermit, be aware that the Muppet's image currently used is a non-free image and can;t be used freely on this article. And while there are free photos like File:Dragon Con 2013 - Jim Henson (9659515051).jpg, cropping down to just Kermit would have some problematic copyright issues (see "de minimus", its fine if Kermit's in the photo but not the focus of it). --Masem (t) 14:37, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
How about if someone had uploaded a picture of Matt Vogel to his page and used it in gallery with a disclaimer that he performed Kermit the Frog as Snail or something. Wouldn't something like that work? --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:03, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 19 March 2021[edit]

Because I said the "Treasure Of Rainbow Beard's Motto," and sang the Glee version of Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back To Me Now," and the William & Mary Spotlight's Show Choir version of Greg Gilpin's "Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In," during the Piglet's performance of "Speechless" by Dan + Shay, and it's taken off from the Max & Ruby episode, "Ruby's Backyard Camping Trip," I decided that in fairness to all, I'm not gonna add all of this in the Masked Singer Season 5. I'm really sorry about that, but it won't happen again, I promise. Now can you put all of the Wildcard performers starting next week, if you will? Thank you. 142.126.191.237 (talk) 18:59, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide the text you'd like to add, remove or replace as well as any sourcing needed. Thanks. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 19:09, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Legitimacy of "Bulldog"[edit]

It was obvious from the getgo that the Bulldog was merely introduced to welcome Nick back onto the show. I mean, the costume looked pretty hastily put together (as was mentioned in the podcast) and the fact that Niecy automatically "eliminated" him. But there were still elements where he was treated as if he was still competing on the show. So how should we go about this? Leave him as a contestant or just mention how this was all just a prank to have Nick come back? - Jasonbres (talk) 22:39, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I added the footnote about the non-voted elimination, and while I agree this was an obviously "staged" episode for his return we probably need direct comments by production to say this. If those do not materialize, there are some reception articles that considered this a bad approach to return Nick to hosting since it begged how much of the rest of the competition was staged that could be added but that has to be framed as reception and opinion and not fact. --Masem (t) 22:42, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I would still say to keep it included in the table- whether staged or not. Obviously seems like it was just a creative way of having him rejoin the show, which I entirely agree on, but it would likely still be considered a wildcard, especially if the last(?) wildcard is a legitimate one. Would then also keep a note with information saying that Niecy 'decided' who would be eliminated, with Cannon being revealed and set to continue hosting the season from the next episode onward. Magitroopa (talk) 22:56, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Variety refers to him as a contestant. Heartfox (talk) 23:08, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Most of the other sources do as well, though the AV Club's article on the episode is a bit more sarcastic. As I mentioned, there is nothing that we can use that's otherwise going to be considered original research that this was a staged episode; most every other source treats it as legitimate even w/o the use of votes. But we can absolutely footnote the clear oddities (and that are sourced) in how the conclusion went. --Masem (t) 23:12, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Celebrity images below progress table[edit]

Not the best with images... could someone help split the 13 celebrity images into two rows (similar to what is done on the previous season article)? Magitroopa (talk) 01:44, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
