Two Lost Battalions?[edit]

The article 442nd Regimental Combat Team links to the Lost Battalion, but that must be another one. There should be disambui or something, but I know nothing about the battalion in question. Magnus 12:59, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good spot. I have changed the inwards link to Lost Battalion. It was the 1st Battalion, 141st Infantry (36th Infantry Division), which was rescued by the 442nd RCT after it became "lost" in the Vosges mountains in France in October 1944. See Lost Battalion and 442nd Regimental Combat Team. -- ALoan (Talk) 13:57, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Run on sentence[edit]

There is a run-on sentence in the introduction that reads: "Despite repeated attacks and an assault by special German stormtroopers, 197 were killed in action and approximately 150 missing or taken prisoner before 194 remaining men were rescued, they held out and American and French units are able to break through to them and breaking the German line for good." There are also some syntax problems with this sentence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sawbar (talkcontribs) 05:40, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
