Error[edit]

"Premiering on NBC on August 31, 1941, The Great Gildersleeve moved the title character from the McGee's Wistful Vista to Summerfield, where Gildersleeve now oversaw his late sister's estate"

It is his late sister's estate. The kids are named Forester and Gildersleeve made several references to his sister, especially in early episodes. MikeR1854 (talk) 13:13, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Arg!, You are quite correct. My confusion was that in the early episodes the reference was always about his Brother-in-law's estate as opposed to his Sister's estate. Good catch Throckmorton Guildersleeve (talk) 13:08, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
