"initially disgusted of their relationship"[edit]

Good grief. Does nobody ever PROOFREAD Wiki articles???????? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.68.94.86 (talk) 20:26, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article’s prose is a tad schoolgirlish. Daughter Lucy married a ‘plane captain’ ? Whatever is that? An airline pilot? A military pilot ? A geometrician? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.44.31.231 (talk) 20:30, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Three-way split[edit]

This article would IMO best be split into three, one for the novel, one for the film, and one for the televison program, as is traditional in Wikipedia for materials in separate media developed from a single source, with a disambiguation page to direct readers to the one which they are seeking. I agree fully. -- CobraWiki 07:05, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Location, Location, Location[edit]

the beach frolicking scenes and the walk along the headlands above the beach/seashore were done at Van Damme cove, aka Van Damme State Park..where the Little River flows in the Pacific, Mendocino County.76.218.248.127 (talk) 03:35, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Differences[edit]

The article could be improved if a word or two were said about the differences between the movie and the book, and the television series. Things don't have to be chronological, though that would help.

Also, the actor who played Gregg in the television series was Edward Mulhare. His name is misspelled in the entry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.16.50.64 (talk) 01:45, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Set in England shot in the USA[edit]

Interesting. There should be a category for films set in England yet shot in America.Halbared (talk) 14:48, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure such a category would be considered a case of WP:NARROWCAT. Martin IIIa (talk) 23:08, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
