Historical Dates[edit]

The article mentions the novel starting in 1923. Looking at the historical events it portrays, I'm not sure this is correct. The brawl at a beer garden seems to be the "Hofbrauhaus Melee" (1921), a less dramatic event in which no one was killed, rather than the Beer Hall Putsch (1923). There's also the context of hyperinflation which had stabilized, I think, by 1923. However, I am not a subject-matter expert. Also, I have not completed the book.
