2011 UK Census[edit]

32,944,493 people identified themselves specifically as "Christian" in the 2011 Census and not a specific denomination. Less than 350,000 identified themselves specifically as a Christian denomination such as LDS (Mormon), Catholic, Baptist, etc. Consequently, this does not give an accurate account of those affiliating themselves as LDS or Mormon. In addition, more than 4 million others did not identify a religion on the 2011 census.Dmm1169 (talk) 23:06, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Removed information about the Church of Christ[edit]

I removed the following paragraph because the Community of Christ is NOT a "sect" of the LDS church. They are not affiliated. This information (if kept) is best used on a page for the Community of Christ church and does not belong on an LDS church page. Further research into the matter could have resolved the issue.

The Community of Christ, formerly known as the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is the second largest Latter Day Saint sect. It claims a presence in the British Isles since the mid-19th century[1] but currently it only has churches in England and Wales. It has house churches in Cardiff, Swansea and Llanelli. Information added from the UK Page[edit]

I recently merged The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United Kingdom into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England; however, some of the information from the UK page was copied and pasted to this page because it pertained to Wales. Numbers[edit]

I can't find anything to support the claim of Wales having 3 stakes. All the sources list 2 stakes: Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil. The http://www.ldschurchtemples.com/statistics/units/united-kingdom/ (admittedly unofficial) indicates there are a total of 13 wards and 2 branches between these two stakes. --Erp (talk) 03:59, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
