Tag-bombing[edit]

This article has now been tagged for notability three times and has a COI tag for unknown reasons. I keep taking the tag off because the article meets WP:MUSIC bullet 1; the article has from the start been supplied with references to coverage by major journalistic outlets, and the listed coverage is not exhaustive (e.g., [1]). Why the scrutiny (or, for that matter, why not just take it to AfD rather than re-tagging it with a cloud of suspicion)? Chubbles (talk) 14:18, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Chubbles: It is believed that Wikieditor184 has a COI with certain subjects. I added references to the article and a bit of content but the core of the article was created by Wikieditor184 which is probably why is continues to be tagged. Notfrompedro (talk) 14:22, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I see. Well, I can't speak to the other articles that editor has written, but this one passes muster by some measure; the band has received enough coverage that I would have written an article on them if I'd seen to do so previously. I don't think the notability tag needs to remain, and given how footnote-studded and more or less neutral in tone the article now is, I don't know that there's much use in keeping the COI tag on it, either. I added a bit more with two more references which may help it get over the hump. Notfrompedro (talk) 14:48, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
