Re-creation of article[edit]

The album will be released in end-October 2008 in several European countries and in January 2009 in USA and Canada. It's right create an article about this compilation (according to me). More informations on MariahCarey.com. Besides the album can be already pre-order on HMV UK. --Dindo94 (talk) 13:17, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Real Release Date[edit]

Hello, this album states that it is going to be available in Canada on January 2009. However, as I visited HMV today when I was buying a CD on my mind, I came across this album. I was completely and utterly shocked, so I dropped everything and bought The Ballads CD. I am not sure when it was released, however, this album is definitely available in Canada as of today. If anyone can fix this error, it would be greatly appreciated! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Skye 0913 (talkcontribs) 22:05, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Final Chapter[edit]

why does it say on the chronology that the next album is called "The Final Chapter", has it been confirmed ?S3o0dk94 (talk) 08:32, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Respond from me: Carey has confirmed herself via twitter that her next album's name is "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel". Link to her twitter page : http://twitter.com/mariahcarey —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.250.156.247 (talk) 19:46, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Peak positions and sales[edit]

Since user Mammamia9905 have reverted all my edits to the article The Ballads (Mariah Carey album), I have sourced all of them and made them again.
1. In Australia the album peaked at #79. You can see that on the official ARIA chart.
2. Gold in Ireland is 7,500. You can see that in an official IFPI document.
3. In Japan, the album peaked at #20 (additional information for you: The Ballads chartrun in Japan with sales: 20[12,933]-25[8,928]-32[5,955]-55[7,161]-90[1,514]-out).
4. Chart table - there is no need to write twice the sales of an album in the U.S. and the UK. Now it's easier to read.
5. Taiwanese sales - since there is no source the citation is needed.
6. According to the BPI official website The Ballads wasn't certified Gold in the UK. You can write in an article that it is eligible for Gold certificatin but nothing more. Certifications aren't automatic. The music company must apply for it.
7. The album didn't sell 100,000 copies in Japan or 150,000 in the UK. But since the sources I have (for now) aren't appropriate for Wikipedia, I will leave the numbers with citations needed.
I'm a fan of Mariah Carey and I would like her articles to be reliable. I know also a lot about charts as I'm very interested in it. If you try to undo any of mentioned above edits, you will receive a warning for vandalizing this article. Max24 (talk) 01:11, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
