this article is a mess

I don't need to log in just to say that

the first paragraph is jumbled. I shouldn't be reading about Tevin Campbell being arrested before I read about his music. the whole "controversy" is presented in a terrible, stream of conscious style.

homosexuality debate... how predictable...

Even back in the mid 90s Tevin said in an interview with Blues&Soul magazine in the UK that Quincy Jones had advised him to keep certain aspects of his private life private. Seemed pretty clear to me what that was. I just hope that people will stop making stuff up about his arrest. I personally deleted a paragraph that he supposedly molested a "smaller person in his cell" after the arrest. Smaller than Tevin? Like who, Gary Coleman?! People should accept Tevin as a gay man who made a mistake. In Europe, this kind of thing is not that big a deal, George Michael's career did not suffer at all. He actually made fun of the arrest in a video.

Please do not remove the section of this article pertaining to Campbell's homosexuality as it is relevant and inclusion benefits the article. Removal will be seen as an act of vandalism. 67.101.31.54 22:30, 27 July 2005 (UTC)

What is the source of the information that Tevin Campbell "came out of the closet to reveal a long-time romantic partnership with musician Rahsaan Patterson." ??

Response: It has long been rumored that Tevin Campbell and Rahsaan Patterson were romantically linked back in the late nineties, but it's only that, a rumor. Neither party has ever confirmed the relationship. So perhaps the listing should be amended to relect this.

Tevin Campbell and Rahsann Patterson have actually worked together. Patterson co-wrote "Back to the World," the title song from Campbell's third album.

Additional Response: Tevin Campbell has never actually acknowledged his homosexuality, though he has at least hinted at it. In a 2003 article in "Sister to Sister" magazine, Campbell has said that he is "trisexual," suggesting with some measure of glibness that he will "try anything." That remark, along with others in the article, strongly suggest that he is at least bisexual.

Correction to Listing: The publicity photo of Campbell on the main page is from 1999, not 2004. The photo dates from about the time of the release of Campbell's fourth album, which was in early 1999.

What evidence do you have that Tevin Campbell is gay? This is sla,,;l;;nderous!!!

As for the gay question....

The article now has clear information re: his arrest.

It simply states that he was arrested for solicitation. This is the only thing that is clear from the articles. Speculation about how it happened, how the police officer was dressed, etc. should NOT be included. Wikipedia is an ENCYCLOPEDIA, and as such, we can only put into an article verifiable information.

The article as it is now says nothing about his sexuality, per se. It simply identifies that the arrest happened. NickBurns 23:56, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

As of July 2009 all reference to his arrest and sexuality have been removed from the article. I don't know enough to reinstate it but hope someone will. Vauxhall1964 (talk) 19:36, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Tevin Campbell did not "appear as himself" when he was on the Fresh Prince. He played a character similar to himself, named Little T.

the Long silence!

Tevin has been my idol since i was a kid in my early teeanage. i Liked the way he looked, sang, danced and all. i never cared what they said about his sexuality and for that reason i was also accused of being gay, despite the fact that i had almost every cut out of his photos, i dont think it was right to judge someone for their sexual orientation espacially if it had nothing to do with you. any way my concern today is...where are you pal? you may not know it but you have alaways been my invisible friend and we keep in touch through your music. the silence is unbearable. please release something soon. 2008, Never Before Heard

IP 207.178.185.32 continues to revert information in the article about 2008, Never Before Heard, and claims that it was released illegally. That information is unsourced. What do we do? Mr. Old-Skool (talk) 21:56, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Tevin Campbell is NOT signed to Rambo's House Music. Legal representation has been obtained and legal action has been taken to remove "Never Before Heard" music from any place where it may be purchased. For now if one would like to verify if this information is true all one has to do is log onto Itunes or Amazon music. Under Tevin Campbell's Music you will find Never Before Heard music, some songs include Tevin singing, while 2 of the song's are by an unknown artist named "Orelia" who Rambo's House Music is attempting to promote using Tevin Campbell,this is misrepresentation and against the law. Excuse me, anon, but I never said that I was affiliated with Tevin Campbell... and for the record, you have aren't either, as far as I know. Also, what you are saying doesn't mean we should remove from the article that the album was released... You still have failed to cite that the EP was released illegally... give a source, and then the article should be changed to mention that an EP of his was released illegally. As previously stated Legal representation was obtained due to Tevin Campbell's music being released illegally. Music can NO LONGER be found or purchased on Amazon, or ITunes, the music has been removed from these sites. As it appears this was accomplished quickly with the assistance of Tevin Campbell's attorney. Mr. Oldschool can get a new hobbie, no need to keep visiting this site daily and adding information to this site that is not true.

I am not adding information that is not true... You are reverting information that is true. For one thing, you still have not found a source that says that legal action took place to remove the album. It is removed, but it was once on the internet. This is still information that should be included, but maybe worded more like "Rambo House Media illegally released 2008, Never Before Heard, which was available on iTunes and Amazon for a while, but was removed." It is false information because TEVIN CAMPBELL did not release this "internet album". Tevin Campbell is not signed to Rambo House Media. This previous informaiton is stated in that paragraph and it is false. I agree with you on one thing, it will be rewritten as, "Rambo House Media illegally released "Never Before Heard Music" on Itunes and Amazon.
