N-Blox[edit]

I believe it should be noted that N-Blox is a rebranding of Paul Neave's Tetris flash. Devann (talk) 02:59, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

In "Battle 2P" it is no longer possible to score 3 KOs. A winner is declared on the second KO. Additionally, current ranking goes to at least 50. (Also, I'm not sure that a full blank line of tile is properly termed "garbage". As I recall, "garbage" was random tile, that could be cleared normally.) It is possible to preview up to FIVE pieces, and this is a paid feature. Indeed, this is essentially a pay-to-win game, on account of paying to preview more pieces, as well as paying for up to 3 aggressive functions (shields, double bombs, and "Final Rush").

"Battle 2P" does have an option to challenge a friend; in that case, the game is live.

You might mention that these forms of "modern" Tetris, especially Battle modes, have been the subject of some criticism for placing emphasis on T-spins and combos, and rewarding poor piece placement (when it will score a combo). Also, for emphasizing hard drops over soft. Additionally, the player is given a rather long time to manipulate a piece, even once it has landed.

Notris Foes[edit]

'Notris Foes' (https://notrisfoes.com/), which is a recreation of Tetris Friends, should be at least acknowledged in this article, maybe something like a subsection of the Shutdown named 'Community backlash' could mention Notris Foes. I got you dude, and I agree, just seeing from notris foes lobbies, you can tell how underground it is. Plantuyy (talk) 21:14, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
