Network Ten Pty Ltd[edit]

Ten Network Holdings Ltd ceased to exist on 16 November 2017 following the purchase by CBS. The company has been known as Network Ten Pty Ltd since that date. This can be seen at the bottom of every press release since that date. I have relied on a press release as a reference but Whats new?(talk) keeps reverting edits. Please find another reference to his satisfaction because this article is seriously outdated and redundant now. J Bar (talk) 09:32, 3 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Here's a press release from 2015 that uses "Network Ten Pty Ltd". It's not a new company. Gareth (talk) 05:35, 5 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ten Network HoldingsParamount Australia & New Zealand – Rebranded. Website and media refer to it as such. DilatoryRevolution (talk) 02:13, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose as the proposed new article would be ambiguous as the Paramount brand in Australia & New Zealand refers not only to the mass media company, – but also to the network, its subscription service and the American film production company. The company still trades officially as either Ten Network Holdings Ltd or Network Ten Pty Ltd in legal and commercial contexts, so I think its better to leave the articles as they are. Could you please elaborate on what you mean by "the network" and "its subscription service"? Paramount ANZ is the mass media company that owns Network Ten and the subscription service "Paramount Plus" (in Australia). They're all listed on the website. The film production company may also use the "Paramount" brand in Australia but that is not relevant to this discussion because they don't use the "Paramount Australia & New Zealand" brand. If we were discussing moving the article to "Paramount (Australia)", that would be an issue. Do you have any sources to support the notion that they are still trading as "Ten Network Holdings"? I haven't seen them referred to in that way for a long time and I don't think I've ever seen them referred to as "Network Ten Party Ltd".--DilatoryRevolution (talk) 10:55, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean Network Ten Pty Limited Dilatory. Bassie f (talk) 09:20, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was just quoting Happily888. Not sure what the intention was in that comment. --DilatoryRevolution (talk) 12:47, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The term "Paramount" has been used interchangeably with the television network, Network Ten, in media sources when referring to the network. The proposed new article name would also be likely to cause confusion with the subscription service "Paramount Plus" due to the titles being very similar; if a page move does have to occur it would be more accurate to use Paramount Global Australia & New Zealand as the title of the mass media company to lessen confusion. Some sources for usage of "Ten Network Holdings" are at here, here and here. Some sources for usage of "Network Ten Pty Ltd" are at here, here, here.
