If this is in the Tekken sequence, why are they numbered as if this were not in the sequence?? Please explain. Georgia guy 23:33, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well, Tekken Tag Tournament was released a couple of years before Tekken 4, so Tekken Tag is the fourth Tekken game, and Tekken 4 is the fifth. - Aphasia83 23:38, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Correct. When I made these articles, I structered the information regarding the releases to the games themseves, and not the canon of the story; that would be too confusing. -ZeroTalk 23:41, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • It is the fourth version, but it is NOT a proper sequel to Tekken 3. It is an update in the same way that Dark Resurrection is. Also, the Tekken series banner needs changing by moving TTT from the main games header. I have no idea why people could think that this game is part of the main series.
That accusation is false. It was a best seller and considered by many a sequel with lack of canonical relevence. I've seen no such source that describes it as that. I've reverted until there's a source to verify this a simple remake. -ZeroTalk 19:07, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
How about, it's not called Tekken 4. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.128.55.235 (talkcontribs) 12:58 June 27, 2006
Huh!? -ZeroTalk 13:00, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
How about, it's not called Tekken 4. Or how about looking here http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=10781 or how about that it was available as a kit for Tekken 3 (just like T5:DR) to try and add life into a game that was already released. Or maybe look at miscellaneous on this page http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=10063 . What about the fact that all the characters had the exact same outfits as they did in Tekken 3 but with a different colour (just like Dark Resurrection). New features are "adjusting damage and adding new moves" it says on the official Namco Japanese flyer - not something you would say to describe a sequel. I've never heard TTT be called a sequel by anyone with any authority, only games players like yourself. And accusation?! Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and it is about fact, not opinion. Tekken Tag Tournament is NOT an official sequel.
Well you're just being silly now. Perhaps you have a misunderstanding between the words "installment" and "sequel". I'm afraid I don't see mention of the wording sequel anywhere in the article.-ZeroTalk 13:19, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, you are being silly. If you look at my reworded first line, it still said 4th version - it just starts off by saying it is an update to Tekken 3. If it only said 4th installment, then people would automatically assume it is was a proper sequel. And it is not.
I have seen your slight reword (don't know why writing installment instead of version makes you feel better about it but whatever). Let's just leave it like it is now. Except TTT needs moving from the MAIN GAMES banner at the bottom of every Tekken page and moving to where Dark Resurrection is (no matter how much you may love TTT, it shouldn't be in the main games header). Although it shouldn't be called remakes, maybe updates.--86.128.55.235 16:03, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
