WP Censorship, Gentrification, and Genocide.

I disagree with the Censorious Judgment (true, behind the mendacious mask of manipulative manners) of the Anonymous Coward [AC] who directed abbreviating the content of this post.

1] It is not a mere Stub, but contains much interesting information that was useful to me before ordering the books (both EN & ES versions) and the movie.

I likely would have not invested and committed to working with this story had the entry been shorter. Often, I see in Amazon reviews similar statements on how helpful extra content is to purchasers who ordinarily are committing several days of their lives based on better understanding.

2] This high-handed and covert but irrational presumption of judgments (un-justified by reasons displayed in Talk) seems just another outcropping of a genetically-heritable cognitive style that is slowly gentrifying Wikipedia. This tendency is 'weirded out" or primally offended by the presence of a more open society with its greater gamut of personal styles.

In this case, luckily for me, the AC only passed judgment, and did not obliterate another's contribution.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but it appears that InWind contributed the details I found decisively useful (thanks!), before someone else demanded the Procrustean Bed. {It's sometimes hard to figure out the historical sequence in the emergence of a WP entry.]

This attitude is reminiscent of the presumptive superiority by which Anglos almost exterminated the Amerinds and Latinos in the 19th and early 20th centuries. By contrast, extrapolating from the information in the current entry, a big part of the Anglo rationale for arrogating superiority and routing (with several millions of deaths) their Inferiors in the former Mexican territory, seems to be the Hispanidad that drives the drama in the movie and the book. A similar Hispanidad perhaps drove the Spanish Civil War, and its mere million casualties.

Next, I'll post some indications of the historical background behind these personal stories behind this story in the midst of great and bloody cultural collisions.
