The target audience refers to the group of people who are exposed to an advertising message in a given medium. The target market is a group of consumers that a marketer (or advertiser) have selected for special attention. Obviously, we hope that there is a good deal of overlap between a target audience and a target market in any given advertising campaign. However, conceptually the terms are different. However, does that mean that the two terms require their own dedicated articles?

I believe that the material on target audience could successfully be merged with either one of Target market or Targeted advertising BronHiggs (talk) 06:16, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
