Target CorporationTarget (store) – Okay, I need to say this, "Target Corporation" is not the name that we know the company to be. We just know it as simply "Target". I do not care what is in the parentheses after because I know "store" is not perfect, but bottom line is "Corporation" needs to go. JE98 (talk) 16:12, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

  • Move to Target (United States) to disambiguate from the unrelated Target Australia chain. The quantifier "store" is still too ambiguous despite the U.S. article generating more traffic. This traffic is purely U.S.-centric systemic bias due to the U.S. having a greater population and more stores than what Australia has. Target Australia is still that country's largest department store chain in terms of store number, and still averages hundreds of hits per day.[1] If the American company had a better worldwide presence reaching into the eastern hemisphere, than I might have had a different opinion. • Oppose move after further reflection for the reasons cogently stated by User:Netoholic below. --Coolcaesar (talk) 21:27, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
    • I had formerly posted:Support move as proposed by User:JE98. The American chain is over six times larger than the Australian one by number of store locations and carries much broader inventory—essentially a hypermarket, especially at the large-format stores that used to be called Target Greatland or SuperTarget. The Australian chain looks like a traditional department store. (I have vacationed on six continents—twice—and went out of my way to visit Target Australia stores during both visits to see the difference for myself.) --Coolcaesar (talk) 18:46, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
  • Oppose - this seeks to confuse the scope of the article. This is about the parent corporation of the US stores, but also Target Corporation#Brands and subsidiaries, and follows WP:NCCORP. This RM would limit to the retail stores only. Also, the proposed Target (store) is ambiguous with the Aus. chain store. The other proposal of Target (United States) is not typical for WP:NCCORP. -- Netoholic @ 21:15, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
  • Oppose – the proposed title is ambiguous with Australia. cookie monster (2020) 755 02:47, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
  • Oppose – As User:Netoholic said, the scope of this article is the parent company that used to be called Dayton-Hudson Corporation and all of its subsidiaries, not the Target chain itself. The chain is just one subsidiary in a much larger corporation with a lot of history. Tuxide (talk) 22:33, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
