The Ghan and Indian Pacific[edit]

Can anyone clarify if the passenger trains stop at Tarcoola, and if so, are passengers allowed to get on and off? Tarcoola is not listed as a ticket destination on the GSR bookings website. (Nearby Pimba IS a destination.) Thanks. Ubuntu2 (talk) 06:16, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is a functioning railway station, and it should be possible to buy a ticket - see Tarcoola railway station. However, the town has no permanent resident population, so demand would be very limited. Peter Bell (talk) 10:51, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
