A "Hoofer shuffle" as it is called in this page doesn't actually come from the ankle, it just uses very little movement in the leg. There is no way to get speed in a shuffle if one tries to actually use their ankle

I agree. Re the suggested "merge" with "Dance": why? It's a specific article about a specific subject. Imo, it could be merged with "Tap dance". Tilmanbauer (talk) 07:03, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
