I'm curious as to where this city got its name, considering the city of Tacoma, Washington (USA) was named after a mis-understanding of a local tribe's name for the nearby Mount Rainier (Tahoma). Did Australians copy this name, or is there some Aboriginal or other local source of this name in Australia? Chibiabos (talk) 12:22, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
