Excessive detail[edit]

I think that the section on the 2008 accident goes into excessive detail for a general purpose encyclopaedia - there isn't a need to summarise every detail of the RAIB report. If there are no objections in a few days I'll trim it down to a more reasonable length. Thryduulf (talk) 10:28, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. A substantial trim is in order of the material not directly relevant to the subject of the article - the station. The sourced report is available for those who wish to see more.SovalValtos (talk) 10:50, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I've now significantly trimmed this, and may come back to do the same with the section about the bridge and subway proposals. Thryduulf (talk) 14:53, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

My edit on 18 November 2020[edit]

I accidentally hit return when aiming for backspace, so committed my change without completing the edit note.

Per wp:think of the reader, the controversy about the crossing should not be almost the first section of the article, especially when it is so long and dominant (per discussion above). So I have swapped the sections around so that the essential and/or short sections come first. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 11:24, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
