What is a 'musicicle'?[edit]

'Musicicles' appears a couple of times in the page. Any idea what the term means? Christian Campbell 05:35, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to be a cryptic term coined by Wikid77 (from music + cycle?) to denote "year/era in music" o' sumthin'. so I rephrased it and clarified the meaning of the "redirection-rules" such as the (1300-1549)-rule that is tacitly followed in Wikipedia. I also removed the redlinks named 9th c., and 10th c., since there is already a redlink named 1st millennium; there's not much to write about 1st mill. centuries in music, anyway, besides Natya Shastra, Schola Cantorum, Ambrose, O Monogenes Yios, Romanus the Melodist, proto-Andean music, Boëthius, Pope Gregory I, John of Damascus, the Kaiyuan era, the Heian period, Al-Kindi, Al-Farabi, the Church modes, Musica enchiriadis, Regino of Prüm, Ratbert de Saint-Gall, Antiphonarium Codex Montpellier, and Guido of Arezzo. I mean, all the above are of earth-shocking importance to the history of Music, but they're mostly general periods or lives of people spanning centuries, thus an individual page for every century of the first mill. seems pointless.
