Redundancy

I've noticed we're drifting into a lot of redundancy in this article. There's no need to mention the same information two or three times in different sections. MK2 03:24, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

Immunity Idol

Hey-We've been told the idol can be used up to the final four. Does this mean the idol that Terry has been showing and telling about is now null and void?TeckWiz 01:27, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

I thought it was through the final four. You may be right, though. --Maxamegalon2000 01:34, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure it's good in the final four. Terry's actions and comments would support this. MK2 05:37, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
After the Final Four vote resulted in a tie and nobody presented the idol, Probst made it clear that the idol was now no good, implying its use at the Final 4 would have been good. The reason for the stop here was probably that in the Final Three, it would be unfair if two people had won immunity and one was defaultly eliminated. Stephen 16:55, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

No Revote After Tie?

I noticed that after Cirie and Danielle tied in the Final Four vote, Probst didn't send the Survivors back for another vote. In the past don't Survivors revote in the case of a tie? Perhaps was this cut out for time considerations? Stephen 16:57, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

I don't know. According to the main Survivor page, it's a re-vote prior. It may have gone un-aired or they changed the rules.TeckWiz 17:18, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Pretty sure they only revote in the case of more than 2 people receiving a vote. For instance, I recall on survivor 1 it was something like 3-3-2, and they revoted where you could only vote for one of the two people who recieved 3 votes. As a revote wouldnt have mattered in this case of a 2-2, they didnt bother. Rangeley 03:27, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Actually, on Survivor 1, there was a tie in the final four, they had a revote, and Kelly changed her vote to eliminate Susan instead of Richard. --Maxamegalon2000 03:39, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Burning camp?

Did Danielle and Aras not burn their camp? I know it's not a rule, but just curious. Icelandic Hurricane #12 21:49, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Nope, sure didn't look like they did but they're camp was pretty small and sprawled so I don't think there was much of one to burn. Props on the Icelandic, ég tala svolitla íslensku. Stephen 03:19, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Wrong location?

Nope, it's right. The panama board of tourism had it wrong, surprisingly...

Duplicate trivia

This article already has a pretty long trivia section. Two of the trivia items are:

This was the first season since Survivor: The Australian Outback in which a player in the game was removed due to a medical emergency.
Bruce is the second player to be forced to leave the game for medical reasons after Michael Skupin of Australian Outback.

I deleted the first one because it's redundant, but my edit got reverted. I'm just wondering why we need to have both. 128.230.13.64 18:08, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Oh. I was the one that reverted it. I thought you meant the exact same wording. So I searched for the exact same words and couldn't find it, so I restored it. I'll put in back now. TeckWizTalkContribsGuestbook 18:29, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Length of Sections

Some of these sections are pretty long and should really be slimmed down... particularly the episode summaries. -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 23:46, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

PS the last bit of the edit summary on the main article was a mistake - the computer automatically recognised what I was typing and I didn't see the rest. -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 23:48, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

external link to survivor.com

I want to add an external link to survivor.com. It was deleted as spam, but I don't think it's spam at all. It's got a ton of articles and screen captures. I was told to suggest that here. Is that the correct way to approach this? Yes, it is my own site, but I've been doing this for years. It's also linked on the home page for the Survivor TV show. This link is for the Panama articles only.

Trivia Cleanup

I've started the cleanup suggested by Survivorfan101 and seconded by Gogo Dodo on the Fijitalk page! Although there is still more that can potentially go, so feel free to go fishing yourselves! The Dark Lord Trombonator (((¶))) 10:38, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

The logo on this page is not the official logo of the season. The official logo can be found in the SurvivorPhoenix gallery. The flames on the candles are missing and "Exile Island" is written too largely.72.192.18.169 17:47, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Agree. The Logo in this article isn't the official logo. Can anyone change it?LordBelly06 (talk) 05:58, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Episode Summaries

Recently, 121.97.101.42 (talk · contribs) has updated the episode summaries to match that of the more recent seasons. Maxamegalon2000 (talk · contribs) reverted him, citing discussion needed before huge changes. Well, let's start some.... I'm fine with the update, the IP is incorporating the current summaries and following the plans of the Survivor task force. The one thing I found to be possibly a bit wrong was the inclusion of challenge titles. These are, as far as I know, not used on the show, and I would consider them trivial and unsourced. Otherwise, I am happy for what the IP has done (do not want an edit war, so will not revert yet). To him I say, thanks (you've saved me some time!) and have you considered creating an account? It will mean that we are able to put a face (well almost) to your contributions rather than just being another number. -- THE DARK LORD TROMBONATOR 20:57, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

I got bored and did it already. -- THE DARK LORD TROMBONATOR 10:15, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Season title

This article is still under the heading of "Survivor: Panama." The shortened title is "Survivor: Exile Island," not "Survivor: Panama." This is dictated by the show, not a matter of opinion. The same is true for "Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites," which is erroneously (and even more often) listed as "Survivor: Micronesia." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.20.152.244 (talk) 15:20, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Proposed tribe colours

I believe that the following colours more accurately show the colours of the buffs. For example, Casaya's purple actually has a slight reddish tinge to it. La Mina's orange is a bit darker. Bayoneta's blue and Viveros' green are not as bright. These colours where sampled off of pictures of buffs:

Bayoneta Gitanos
Casaya
La Mina
Viveros

Changing the colours is not essential, but I would recommend that these replace current colours. Cheers, --Meaghan the vanilla twilight 14:52, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

It appears to me that the colors in the tables above are slightly duller than what the buffs should have looked like during the game – please do note the fact that the buffs do get dirty throughout the 39 days and thus lose the original brightness of their colors. I, for example, own a Gitanos buff myself, and can say with certainty that the color of the buff is a deep, concentrated black. Another point I must speak of is that despite the color of Viveros being a shade of green tinted with blue on the tribe members' subtitles, the actual color of Viveros's buffs and flags is actually a yellowish green.
I think that the more appropriate colors would be:
Bayoneta Gitanos
Casaya
La Mina
Viveros

I think those colours are pretty accurate. I did think that the Casaya purple was close to what you have, but, if I remember correctly, the image I got my shade from was a mock-up of a buff, and not an actual picture of a buff. I'll go ahead and change them. Cheers, -- Meäghân  talk  23:29, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
