Untitled[edit]

Since Superdawg is not a "return" or "explicit re-introduction", strictly speaking it's not "retro", it's a holdover.

Nice catch, you're absolutely right. — oo64eva (Alex) (U | T | C) @ 00:20, August 2, 2005 (UTC)

I'm going to try NPOVing this, it feels unencyclopedic. --Sum0 16:34, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Locations[edit]

From what I gather from reading at other sites, Superdawg only has 2 locations, the original on Milwaukee and the new location in Wheeling. Apparently the location at Midway is not owned by the Berman's, the location purchased rights to use the name and selected item off the menu.

According to Rick Meredith who posted on the Facebook Group Page for Superdawg-alholics he states "According to a conversation I had with one of the car hops, the Midway "Superdawg" is a separate operation that "licenses a few sandwiches" from the real Superdawg. Sounds like a bad business decision... it's making a bad impression on anyone who passes through Midway. Hope it ends soon. The new one in Wheeling is supposed to be the real thing, just bigger than the original." You can read it at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2204599818#topic_top. Where's the relish?[edit]

I think that to be truly complete, this article needs a picture of the nuclear-green relish. --moof 03:41, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've eaten enough Superdawgs to know that the relish is so "nuclear" that an image of it here might blind people. LOL Kielhofer 04:00, 21 September 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kielhofer (talkcontribs)

Possible correction about the non-encyclopedic vernacular[edit]

==The food==
All of the sandwiches come with rippled french fries inside a box that helps retain its heat. Every Superdawg comes with a signature pickled green tomatillo (some think is a green tomato, but are wrong), one of Superdawg's distinctions from the classic Chicago-style hot dog, along with its spicier-than-usual wiener.
source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XO4xl_Ehc28 at 2:24 he clearly says "we use a green pickled tomato". 71.49.30.10 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 16:21, 12 December 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Death of one of the founders[edit]

Mitchell Armentrout and Mitch Dudek: "Founder of Superdawg drive-in" (Obituary of Maurie Berman), Chicago Sun Times, Monday May 18, 2015. The article has details about the company. 64.53.191.77 (talk) 17:56, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wheel of Fortune[edit]

I thought it might be noteworthy that Superdawg was "featured" at the end of a Wheel of Fortune episode which aired in 2017, with the Wheel on location in Chicago. References:
