I doubt it Hogans pretty much done. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Killswitch Engage (talkcontribs) .

K never mind. Randy just cut a promo that could lead to a match. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Killswitch Engage (talkcontribs) .

Will there be a third DX member announced at Summerslam? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.102.231.203 (talkcontribs) .

If Booker T (King Booker) wins at the Great American Bash, then the incident with Batista back in April at the Summerslam video shoot can help lead it to be Batista vs. King Booker at Summerslam for the World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE Championship John Cena vs. Edge (champ) -Seems likely since RVD is out of the picture.

ECW World Heavyweight Championship Rob Van Dam vs. ECW World Champion The Big Show...RVD suspended for 30 days lead us directly onto the route for Summerslam

DX will need a new member since HBK is going to have surgery on that knee, messed up by the SS (Spirit Squad)...many sources say the new member is Chyna (since the new DX DVD and video show her with HHH and HBK...MIND YOU, THE DVD CAME OUT DAYS BEFORE VENGEANCE) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.200.116.199 (talkcontribs) .

The New poster has come out for Summerslam 06. Its awesome! http://www.wwe-club.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=59251&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.144.9.60 (talkcontribs) .

Why do people say that Mr. Kennedy will be vs. Batista at The Great American Bash When It says on WWE.com That it is still an open challenge

Because it was announced at the SD taping, but people keep trying to add it even thought the policy is to not add what happens on SD until it airs int the US. TJ Spyke 21:20, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

That DX video was made in 1997. It's just a re-release. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.49.243.240 (talkcontribs)

poster placement

Should the poster be in the infobox instead of the logo?--Yugioh73036 20:25, 22 July 2006 (UTC)Yugioh73036

The other SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, and WrestleMania pages use the logo in the infobox and have the poster somewhere else in the article. TJ Spyke 20:30, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Batista vs Booker for title. As a result of GAB matches. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.49.243.240 (talkcontribs) .

Why would Batista get a title shot for losing the match? Also, sign your comments. As of right now the only official match is Orton/Hogan. TJ Spyke 06:17, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Because of Henry's injury he forfeited the title opportunity to Batista. Batista and Kennedy, as said on Smackdown before GAB was just an ass-kicking. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.49.243.240 (talkcontribs)

They never said Batista automatically became #1 contender. TJ Spyke 19:38, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Not directly, but what they did say is that if either Henry or Batista attacked the other then they would forfeit the match and number one contendership. What can be assumed is that because Henry forfeited (for different reasons, but a forfeit nonetheless) Batista automatically became number one contender. But still, this is WWE which we are talking about so the logical path of thinking is usually not the best to use. I'll give you it.

Technically Henry didn't forfeit though, he was removed by WWE. TJ Spyke 20:04, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

When Kennedy came out on SmackDown before the GAB to challenge Batista, Teddy Long was announcing Batista as the #1 contender. 71.203.209.0 07:01, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Legend vs. Legend Killer

I know it says "Legend vs. Legend Killer" at WWE, but that is just describing the match and not what kind it is. There is no such thing as a "Legend vs. Legend Killer" match. TJ Spyke 18:15, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Edge vs. Cena

Why was Edge vs. Cena edited out? It's been confirmed on the WWE site. Mr. Papaya

Where on the WWE site?--Yugioh73036 02:46, 31 July 2006 (UTC)Yugioh73036
A few days ago it said on Cena and Edge's profile that they would have a match. It was removed after a few hours though, meaning it probably wasn't supposed to go up yet. This happened before(like when they said Super Crazy would take on Gregory Helms at GAB). That's why we should wait since they will probably announce it tomorrow on RAW. TJ Spyke 03:46, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Will the title be able to change hands if Cena is DQ'd? Or does the stipulation just apply to Edge. Perry 16:24, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Umm... how could the title change hands if Cena is DQ'd?! Cena is the challenger. If he loses, of course it won't change hands.SRHCFC 20:32, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Undertaker vs. The Great Khali

The Undertaker challenged the Great Khali to a last man standing match at SummerSlam on Smackdown —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.192.47.84 (talkcontribs)

Wait until Friday Night before you add that. Perry 16:26, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

I have added the match as a rumored match as it has been announced in Canada, and everything announced in Canada is a rumor to Americans.

The policy is not to add in rumored matches, and to wait for the US airing of SmackDown. This happens every month for every PPV that has SD matches. TJ Spyke 02:27, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

K is there someone i can talk to to try to get the rule changed? Cause it's BS that you Americans treat Canadian input like shit. Killswitch Engage

Yeah Fuck Americans the match is official. Its not like WWE is going to change and edit the show Canadians see on Thursday. (Its the exact same show) It might be hard for you Centre of the universe Americans who know nothing about other cultures to understand. Just remember the best wrestlers came from Canada. Canada has more talent in its small population than USA's large population so that's just funny Because like 89% of Americans are over weight and fat. --Jigsaw12 03:02, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Keep it Civil people we just go by what WWE puts on there site really. They go buy the USA Show times just because their a USA Company BionicWilliam 05:37, 4 August 2006 (UTC) BionicWilliam 05:37, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Just for the record, starting August 11th SmackDown will air on Fridays in Canada as well. BionicWilliam gave the reason, WWE is a US company so we go by the US airings. TJ Spyke 06:20, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

You Canadians can suck my dick if you don't like it bitches. America #1 Canada Hack Patouey

Well then WWE should be renamed AWE for American Wrestling Entertainment.Killswitch Engage

That's like saying every Canadian based company should have "Canadian" in it's name. It's a US based company because it's headquarters are in Connecticut. Now stop this argument because this talk page is supposed to be about the SummerSlam 2006 article, not a US-Canada debate. TJ Spyke 06:32, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

One last thing. The reason i say they should do that because they NEVER come to Canada. They are 99.9% in the United States. No point in calling a company World Wrestling Entertainment if u don't travel the world and stay in the States.

99.9%? Uh, no. Every time before PPV's they tour the world. I think they're in Australia this week promoting SummerSlam. And Unforgiven, the next PPV, is in Toronto next month. Check your facts, eh? Perry 11:04, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

O yeah they go to 2 countries then its right back to the states. They don't even come to Canada to promote it. And Unforgiven is in Toronto, but its the first ppv in like 3 years for us. Face it, Vince Mcmahon (and all americans at that), don't give a shit about Canada.Killswitch Engage

Nice attempt at a save. So everyone has to pity Canada is what you're saying. Perry 20:32, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

No i am not saying that. I am saying that we should be respected, although..... o wait we are respected, it's the states everyone hates. Killswitch Engage

personal attack removed

Flair vs. Foley

So will there be a match between Mick Foley and Ric Flair or not? 12.37.71.168 19:05, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

It will, Foley refusing is just part of the storyline. TJ Spyke 19:29, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

The match is likely to happen. Although nothing is for sure, all matches are subject to change. Also this is highly unlikely but there could not be enough room for flair vs. foley... Consider the intercontinental championshp... world tag team championship.... Big Show vs. Sabu and figure all the main eventers to get a match...Although Ric Flair vs. Mick Foley is very likely still to happen because its been a considerable feud leading into Summerslam.--Jigsaw12 03:14, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Please stop adding this match. It is a rumor and uncomfirmed. Unless you show me sufficient evidence that the match is on, i'll keep deleting it.Killswitch Engage

Vince McMahon ordered it, it's the same reason "Challenges" are listed before the chalangee accepts. TJ Spyke 20:06, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes but policy supposedly states that we cant put matches until they are outright set to happen. Storyline wise, Mick Foley has refused to wrestle. If by small chance the match does happen, he probobly wont show and will get counted out. Bottom line, the match is not confirmed, nor is it a challenge. It is a match that has been refused.Killswitch Engage

Refused but still ordered. TJ Spyke 22:23, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Ok i see ur point i'll leave it on. I'm sorry.Killswitch Engage

No longer rumored, We have an I Quit match. John cena123 02:29, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Undertaker vs. Khali

I live in Canada and I see Smackdown! on Thursdays and during the show The Undertaker challenged The Great Khali to a Last Man Standing Match. --Jigsaw12 02:58, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

We need to wait for the show to air in the states unfortunantly. americans do not trust Canadians, but that will change august 11th. Killswitch Engage

I WENT to the show and had enough restraint to not post until the exact second I heard Taker say "Last" on the program. John cena123 02:04, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

I believe so far it's still a challenge. The SmackDown main heading on WWE.com is Deadman's Challenge. Perry 03:43, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Update: Ok, changed it to reflect status John cena123 13:50, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

K, I guess this match is no longer. A friend told me that Khali came to the SmackDown taping and declined the match. Killswitch Engage

No, Theodore Long came out and announced the match to be on TV next week. I'm thinking something will happen to stop the match and it will still happen anyways. TJ Spyke 01:26, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

I hear that WWE aren't happy with Khali's performances of late and have cancelled the match and are considering sending Khali back to OVW for training or firing him altogether, i guess we'll see. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.93.21.101 (talkcontribs)

I've seen the same reports, but officially the challenge is still on and should stay on this page. TJ Spyke 19:30, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Challenge will now take place on next week's SmackDown. The match will no longer be on SummerSlam... Besides, would you want to watch Khali w/o editing? -outphase

Oops forgot SD hasn't aired yet :P -outphase

First joint production

About the part saying first "joint production from the RAW, SmackDown! and ECW brands.", wasn't ECW One Night Stand 2006 the first one? --Jtalledo (talk) 19:47, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

No, ONS(both ones) were under the ECW brand only. Raw wrestlers and SD wrestler were there, but it was just an ECW production. TJ Spyke 19:59, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Theme Song

Is it true that Motörhead are recording a song called Heat Of The Day, cause on the Motörhead it says they are. Can anyone varyfie this?

Cobrastyle. Where was it stated?

on the WWE section of the Motörhead page, at the bottom of the first paragraph and I quote: 'Motörhead has also announced that they will be recording a new track for the WWE Pay-Per View SummerSlam called "Heat of the Day"'

King Booker vs Batista

if you go over to WWE.com it has that Booker T will be putting the world title on the line agaenst batista

Confirmed, sign posts please John cena123 22:49, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

sorry about that User:supermike

That's odd, I thought it was going to be Mr. Kennedy, since Batista lost at GAB. Cloud13 21:51, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

They never stated that the match was a #1 contenders match, although I wish it had been. TJ Spyke 21:52, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Match confirmed?

Even if is true that Undertaker challenged Great Khali to a match at Summerslam, until there was a response on SmackDown!, I think it should have a "unitl confirmation" status, or been deleted. I think the match will happen, but also all people envolved in the editing of this article should respect the kayfabe (that's weird, even for me, but.......) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.234.181.230 (talkcontribs)

The challenge was made, that's why its there. TJ Spyke 21:45, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

ECW Championship

The results on the ECW website says that the ECW title will be defended at SummerSlam, but the opponent has not been announced. DO not remove. John cena123 18:01, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

I put it back in since someone removed it. I also kept in kayfabe if necessary. outphase

Hogan-Orton

So Hogan is 100% able to go? Killswitch Engage

That is what wwe.com says. So, yeah looks like it's good to go. John cena123 22:09, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

3 World Titles On the line

No one remove the line that 3 World Titles are on the line as it is a wrestling first. THis is of course if you don't count the Undisputed Championship tournament at Vengeance 2001. John cena123 22:14, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

I don't think Vengeance counts anyways since the undisputed title is counted as part of the WWE Title's history and not a seperate title. TJ Spyke 22:40, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Kane vs Nitro

Kane is number one contender. Although this match by all logic SHOULD happen on Raw, so no one put it down.

Please sign your comments. In the last 5 weeks there have been 4 "#1 Contender" matches. We have no idea if their match will occurr at SS and should not be added unless WWE announces it. TJ Spyke 06:41, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

CHAVO VS. REY

DIDNT chavo say he retired the night after wrestlemania, after losing to shelton benjamin??? does this match count as him being in retirement, becuase his page says he's CURRENTLY WORKING for smackdown?.......retirement off?

That was just a storyline retirement, not real. TJ Spyke 00:35, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Change part III

who the fuck change Raven to Kurt Angle? TELL ME WHO DID IT?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dannyjonejules (talkcontribs)

Why do you care? Raven is not in the match, he's not even in WWE. TJ Spyke 03:55, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Raven wth? lmao Jigsaw12 19:09, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

of course Raven is not in WWE. He's in ECW since 199something? SO ECW and WWE are different promotions m'kay. User: Dannyjonejules

Raven wrestled in WWE, but he is under contract to TNA right now. TJ Spyke 22:01, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
