Untitled[edit]

Stuart Pearson took part in the controversial 'rebel' tour of South Africa, along with Dave Watson, Mick Channon and others.

In one of the few matches that took place on the tour, Pearson scored the winner in the 1-0 victory over Amazulu.

James Stuart or Stuart James?[edit]

For future reference, I have several books that list Pearson's name as "Stuart James Pearson", including "The Official Manchester United Players' A-Z" by Iain McCartney, "The Official Manchester United Illustrated Encyclopedia" (various authors) and "Manchester United: The Football Facts" by Dean Hayes. The only book I have that gives his name as "James Stuart Pearson" is "Manchester United: Player by Player" by Ivan Ponting. Ponting is usually a pretty good source when it comes to things like this, but not in this case (unless we can find Pearson's birth certificate or census information!). – PeeJay 00:17, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
