  • ... that not only Stsiapan Putsila, but also the judge who refused to extradite him to Belarus, face criminal charges there?

  • Article is new enough, long enough, notable, neutral, and the hook is supported in the article. Hook needs to be written more elegantly, without typos, and with proper boldface and inline link. Nominator needs to review another DYK nomination. ALT1: ... that not only Stsiapan Putsila, but also the judge who refused to extradite him to Belarus, face criminal charges there? -La comadreja formerly AFriedman RESEARCH (talk) 17:21, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The nominator is exempt from reviewing a nomination, having only one previous DYK credit. —Kusma (talk) 10:44, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    Thank you. I have changed the nomination text.--KastusK (talk) 12:21, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Approve ALT1 per La comadreja and their review. SL93 (talk) 03:25, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Note that this nomination is now stalled per Wikipedia talk:Did you know#Request for comment on Ukraine and Russia hooks. SL93 (talk) 03:27, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • @KastusK, SL93, and La comadreja: suggesting a more copyedited ALT1a: ... that Stsiapan Putsila faces criminal charges in Belarus—as does the Polish judge who refused to extradite him? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/they) 04:50, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • Yes, this sounds a lot better. Thank You for the improvement!--KastusK (talk) 09:52, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
      • Happy to help! going to mark this as on hold until this RfC is resolved. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/they) 21:56, 15 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
        • Query to KastusK, SL93, and theleekycauldron: First, the image cannot be used for DYK because it is no longer in the linked article. Next, how do we know that this is indeed a photo of Stsiapan Putsila? There's nothing on the Wikimedia Commons page metadata or file name to indicate that this is indeed him, nor is he identified (that I or Google Translate can see) on the YouTube being used for the image, and the caption on this nomination isn't filled in. These issues will need to be addressed before the nomination can proceed. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:43, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
          • @BlueMoonset: I don't usually reveal my thoughts on an image before promotion—but to save time, I'll let you know that I was planning on doing without this one. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/they) 03:46, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
          • BlueMoonset I thought that nothing had to be addressed because the image wouldn't be used. SL93 (talk) 12:46, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
            • SL93, since the nomination was approved, that means the image was approved for use, and you have to assume it can be used, especially if the review doesn't recommend against use. (The review really ought to have explicitly mentioned the image.) theleekycauldron, there's no guarantee that you will be the one doing the promotion, and I've seen images I wouldn't have promoted being put in lead hook positions. BlueMoonset (talk) 20:38, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
              • That's great and all, but I have this on my watchlist to follow up on and there are barely any prep builders. Honestly, I'm going to discount your lecture in this case. SL93 (talk) 22:06, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
        • I changed the image. Now it is a photograph from the original NEXTA website.--KastusK (talk) 14:18, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
