Recording date / location[edit]

I have seen a reference (in a 1985 Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra Newsletter) to a live video recording made of the orchestra performing at "Rick's Cafe" in Chicago in 1985. I suspect that this "Strive For Jive" video is the result of that 1985 Chicago session but would like to find good references for the date / location of this recording session. The VHS Video cover notes / credits themselves are very short on details and do not indicate the location (other than "Chicago") or year of this recording. Other sources (All Music Guide, etc.) place the recording date much later "...around 1992..." but do not necessarily make a convincing case for this later date.
