Public Or State[edit]

The type of school was recently changed from public to state. I know that in England a public school is a fee-paying school, but whenever I have come across the term in Scotland, where the school is obviously, it is a school for the general public, government owned. I'll not change it, and it is negligible, but am I just completely wrong with the Scottish meaning and does WP have a guideline on what to use? Andrewjd 21:59, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Assess[edit]

This school is possibly more important than is apparent from the present article. More content is needed (history especially) and references to advance to a B. When was the school founded? The photo of the old school is from 1856 yet you have a 17th century Bishop who was an alumnus? Dahliarose 11:25, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to the school's [website] it's history can be traced back to the 12th century, but this is not an independent source. I have also found this [wesite], but again I'm not sure whether it is a verifiable source. pcfreakshow (talk) 14:39, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New building Drawbacks and controversy[edit]

This whole section is a disgrace - it's totally unsourced, and is just a vitriolic spewing of the contributor's opinions. "Controversy" sections are generally a magnet for such nonsense, and this stuff would look like an opinionated rant on some blog - it's certainly not NPOV. 217.43.149.157 (talk) 14:47, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
