Untitled[edit]

The quality of this page is pretty bad and needs to be fixed. He was kicked out becuase he published full photos of women having abortions including their faces in a Taiwanese journal. I agree. There is a lot of stuff published in the journal Science in 1983-5 which documents the reasons that Stanford refused him a doctorate: the photos was one thing, as was breaking the laws of China. As I understand it, Stephen Mosher was kicked out of the Stanford Ph.D. program not because he was unqualified but because the Chinese government threatened not to allow any more Stanford students to go to China unless he was kicked out. His book exposed some unpleasant realities in the peasant commune where he had lived for several years, and the Chinese government was unhappy to have these revealed to the outside world. It was a cause celebre for a while. I note the previous commenters are anonymous and almost certainly from the PRC.Evangeline (talk) 23:36, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Questionable Content[edit]

Mosher could not have been in the Seaman to Admiral program (1968) because it did not exist until 1994. The Navy's program has existed in other forms including something called Integration. David Cary Hart (talk) 15:55, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Commissioner of the US Commission on Broadcasting to China[edit]

I changed hia "credentials" at the beginning of the story from "Commissioner of the US Commission on Broadcasting" to "Commissioner of the US Commission on Broadcasting to China", because I can find no evidence of a general "Commissioner of the US Commission on Broadcasting". Even the "Commissioner of the US Commission on Broadcasting to China" I can only appear to find reference to in anti-choice stories specifically referring to Mosher, so I suspect it's a conservative group, but I can find almost no information about it. 68.190.126.112 (talk) 15:24, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fueling the Covid 19 conspiracy theory[edit]

He might not believe the things he says, which is not rare for conspiracy theorists. Many are simply approaching this from a pure Machiavellian angle. Mosher an Anthropologist with 9 children who studied the founding father bottleneck effect, he is ideologically opposed to Bill Gates philanthropic family planning efforts, add that to his 3 decade personal feud with China.
