A section listing needs citations?[edit]

The section "Other players who had psychological throwing problems" is a simple listing of other players who had the same problem as Steve Blass. The cites themselves are in those individual pages. And it is a legit section because I would think someone would like to know other players who had similar problems. Hunter2005 (talk) 18:21, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • You need to have references in each Wikipedia article. You can't use one Wikipedia article to cite another one for obvious reasons. Wickethewok (talk) 21:53, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed this entire section, because I feel that it violates WP:BLP. The section is not sourced, and I fear that by adding names there you are guilty of original research. -- malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 03:24, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First, I don't have a dog in this fight. In fact, I'm not sure a simple list of names is appropriate from a context perspective (i.e. a list without context could be misconstrued or misinterpreted). Nonetheless, I hate to see aggressive editing - that appears to have a fair amount of disdain for no apparent reason. Removing the list of as "not a good list, unverifiable, possible original research, don't speculate" is a real big blanket. It took me all of 2 minutes to google a reputable source with a number of these players: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/bbw/2001-02-07/2001-02-07-head.htm Perhaps asking for source or better citation might be a better tact. I welcome more discussion re: providing better context or adding "Steve Blass Disease" section to the Yips page. Mjskord (talk) 03:56, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
