Parallels[edit]

Anybody wondering if making a list of parallel characters/ideas would be interesting? For instance, it's obvious that Gyro and Johnny are parallels of (or close to) Baron and Jonathan, respectively, but there are other small references to the earlier manga: Speedwagon Foundation (now Speedwagon Oil), Enya makes an appearance, still telling fortunes, Dio of course, etc...

Good idea? Bad idea?

I think it would be a good idea, considering this series is essentially a revision of everything that came before it.
This article on SBR could really use more details about the plot development in the series. I don't feel able to do this since I'm reading it in Chinese and many of the characters names are different. Maybe someone acquainted with the Japanese version can lend a hand? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.240.107.30 (talk) 09:01, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm 15 years late to this discussion, but I do think this article and JoJolion could do with something like this - there's a massive opportunity for confusion when characters in both universes share the same name. Inkublu(talk) 02:10, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Steel Ball Run Volume 10.jpg[edit]

Image:Steel Ball Run Volume 10.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Page trimming[edit]

Removed much of the unsourced or original research information and provided a basic citation though someone familiar with this topic may be able to source more information with better reliable sources. I still question the article's notability, perhaps it should be removed and information merged into the [JoJo's Bizarre Adventure] page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ngaskill (talkcontribs) 06:11, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Error[edit]

There is an error in the date in the information box. It says "August 47th" which does'nt make sense. NarSakSasLee (talk) 20:05, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Probably supposed to be "August 17" (without the "th" suffix, per WP:DATE#Dates). ダイノガイ千?!? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 17:20, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

STEEL BALL RUN VOLUME 20[edit]

Excuse me, but I would like to know why you people have never posted information on the latest volume of Steel Ball Run, despite the fact that it's been released since March 2010. After all, it's been two months since then and nothing about it shows up on the page? Something's not right. And besides, if you go to the Shueisha website, where you collect and reference information for all volumes of Steel Ball Run, you'll see it right there on the site. So, based on this evidence, there's no excuse for Wikipedia not to have posted this information by now, and on account of this, I would like to know you people didn't do your job. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not personally attacking anyone or threatening either; I'm just concerned. However, if this information isn't posted soon, I'll do it myself. Way to not follow through with your 'threat'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.127.40.131 (talk) 02:49, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Like I said, I wasn't threatening anyone, I was just concerned. And yes, I didn't follow through, but for your information, I really did try to post the information myself. You may not know this, but I DID take the time to do it; the reason why I didn't post this myself was because I didn't have all the stuff I needed to do so. I managed to get the chapter titles/release date/ISBN number, but I was having trouble finding the volume title as well as the japanese translations. So I admit that I didn't follow through, but please don't try to judge me like I didn't at least try. Don't try to blame me for insubordination; it's not my fault this didn't get posted a long time ago. Alpha92613 (talk) 05:13, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merge?[edit]

So, I can understand why a merge might be suggested. The problem is, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is one of the longest manga series in existence at 100 volumes and going. I could see, perhaps, merging this section of the story (and the other story sections, Stone Ocean, etc) into some sort of List of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Chapters, which would retain the most information from this page, or perhaps the main article (but its already QUITE long), but the author's page? That makes no sense and is basically deletion without any concensus or discussion. 159.182.1.4 (talk) 12:15, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, merging this page into the main JoJo article kinda makes sense since there isn't a lot of information here. But merging it into the authors page makes no sense at all. It should rather be expanded. IchiGhost (talk) 23:19, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SBR Volume 22 book and chapter info[edit]

If someone could update the listing of chapter names translated in the grid at the bottom page it would be very appreciated.
