Does anyone know what the difference is between the two different covers that appear to be available for the saga edition core rulebook book? When you type the name in on google images, a goldy cover and a silver/grey version both appear, with slightly different wording? Also, many sites that sell the book have different covers pictures? I cannot find the answer anywhere, can anyone help? thanks

Reorganized article to de-emphasize the older Revised edition and make it easier to understand that some details pertain specifically to it. Cleared out some non-encyclopedic or trivial material. An info box for the Saga Edition is needed. - Pawsplay

I'd like to see a return of much of the Revised edition information. Many people still play it and it's useful to catalog the previous releases and how the game worked in contrast to the current edition. If there isn't serious objection to this I'll restore this information shortly. --Selderane (talk) 19:20, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted the page to my "butchered" version. What does "focuses on the Star Wars Miniatures Game" even mean? Eliminated unnecessary details, this article does not have to replicate the contents of the rulebook. Edited list of major changes to be major changes, not minor details of how Force Points are used, etc. Pawsplay 20:32, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By "focuses" I mean the game means promotes, spotlights, or is based on the miniatures game! If you can come up with a better freaking word for it, then do it! And I DID cut back on details, some of which you just put back, and NO it wasn't a replication of the rulebook. Cyberia23 21:32, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure it "promotes, spotlights, or is based on" the miniatures game, except as far as saying you need some miniatures in chapter one. I think it's sufficient to say it "emphasizes miniatures," as anything concerning the INTENT of the designers constitutes research and needs to be documented. Feel free to prune any extraneous details I restored. Pawsplay 17:14, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article Bias For WotC Version[edit]

This article needs to emphasize the original RPG version more. Many aspects of the original were carried over to the d20 version. In removing significant reference to the original, the article displays bias towards the WotC version in appearing to indicate that WotC was responsible for many of these ideas, when in fact, they were not. 64.203.24.184 (talk) 05:22, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's because the title of this article is "Star Wars Roleplaying Game (Wizards of the Coast)" – note "Wizards of the Coast" on the end. For the more West End Games biased version try Star Wars role-playing game (WEG). Cyberia23 (talk) 04:01, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

saga edition[edit]

Is it worth mentioning that many aspects of this seem to be based on 4th ed. DnD? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.27.51.69 (talk) 14:35, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rather the opposite, in a few cases. But that would be original research, unless you can find an article on how 4e influenced SWSE. Pawsplay (talk) 07:20, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adding link to Order 66 Podcast[edit]

I attempted to link the Order 66 Podcast because of the value it adds to the SWRPG community. There is much that a player can learn from listening to the podcast as well as reading the forums. Unfortunately, my attempt was immediately removed from the page. Is this not worthy of being on the SWRPG page? The actual developers of the game appear on the show to discuss the new books, rulings, etc. This isn't fluff so not sure why it would be banned straight away. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hye jedi (talkcontribs) 05:06, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re-added link to Order 66 Podcast[edit]

I see no reason why this link shouldn't exist here as it is COMPLETELY a resource to support the play of the roleplaying game. I also explained this to C.Fred and he never responded to my talk page as he said he was going to.
