The 2005 book by P V Bruyns Stapeliads of southern Africa and Madagascar should probably be cited. --Ott2 10:54, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Europe has two species of stapeliads, Caralluma europea is found on Lampedusa (an island in the mediteranian). And Caralluma munbayana is the species growing on the southern iberic penninsula.

Misspelling![edit]

The tribe is Stapelieae. All tribes in botany end in "eae" (as is correctly indicated here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxonomic_rank), nothing ending in "iae" is a valid tribal name. I could go through and correct this in the text, but I don't know how to correct the name of the article! Paalexan (talk) 08:47, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
