A fact from St Stephen Coleman Street appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 29 December 2006. The text of the entry was as follows:
My efforts to improve the history of the Medieval church since 26 Jan became so long (and interesting?) that I have transferred them to a Sandbox (you are welcome there to inspect my work in progress, or discuss on my talkpage) to continue work, and meanwhile I have reverted the WP Article to roughly what was there before. I hope to return with a suitably edited but less unwieldy text for the pre-Fire church. Watch this space...! Eebahgum (talk) 23:46, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
