how best to indicate how FRA athletes qualify?[edit]
For instance, Bassa Mawem won the Euro speed qualifier, filling the French men's speed slot. Should he be listed in the Host row or the Euro qualifier row? If someone qualifies through regular channels I like leaving them in the more relevant slot; I'll add a note in the Host nation row for Bassa. But I'm not sure if there's an official way. The Host spot is only relevant if not French athletes qualify directly. Bassa took the European Speed spot. The Host spot will now be re-allocated. 162.145.253.33 (talk) 05:57, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@BrogenderMaybe take a look at the German article for inspiration. The process you describe is laid out in the text section of the article, and also shown in the table (it's probably easier to just see for yourself in place of me trying to describe it). Edit: Didn't read your question properly on the first go, your solution looks good to me.MaligneRange (talk) 09:34, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
gotcha, thanks to you both! Brogender (talk) 04:23, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
